Aevitas Fertility Clinic, also known as IVF - Cape Town, was established by Prof Thinus Kruger and Dr Kobie van der Merwe. They were (part of) the team who succeeded in achieving the first IVF pregnancy in South Africa. Aevitas Clinic has a strong academic connection and is still the only IVF unit in South Africa that is registered to train reproductive specialists and one of the only 3 IVF units training embryologists.
