Biofeedback Association of South Africa The association is constituted, on a non-profit basis, in order to regulate and professionalise the therapeutic practice of biofeedback in South Africa.

🧠 Despite over 50 years of clinical use and research, neurofeedback remains underrecognized in mainstream mental health care.
A new qualitative study dives into the perspectives of providers and identifies three major barriers to access:
Financial limitations, including lack of insurance coverage

Limited provider education and training

Inadequate research funding and dissemination

If we want neurofeedback to become a routine part of mental health care, we must address these gaps head-on—with policy changes, academic integration, and robust scientific advocacy.
