Speech-Language Therapists, also called speech therapists or speech-language pathologists specialize in the assessment and management of speech and language in children and adults. Speech therapists help people of all ages with different speech and language needs including:

Articulation: a child may have difficulty pronouncing certain sounds or words
Fluency: a child may repeat words, parts of words or sounds which disrupt the fluency of their speech
Voice disorders: a child may present with an excessively hoarse voice or have a difficulty producing voice, or loses loudness when talking
Language difficulties: a child may have difficulty understanding people, following instructions, understanding new concepts, or expressing themselves and telling stories
