"On 27 February 2026, join us outside the National Department of Health for a peaceful picket to make visible what has been hidden for too long.
Every day, pregnant women and girls experience abuse, neglect, and disrespect in the healthcare system.

Last year, we launched a study to better understand how many women in two key provinces have been mistreated while accessing reproductive healthcare. The results are in! AND they are shocking!
6 out of 10 women who gave birth in Gauteng and KZN experienced some form of obstetric violence.

On Friday the 27th, we're going to the Department of Health to demand accountability, respect, and action, ensuring women's rights are protected in every maternity ward. We'll be erecting a laundry line with women's stories, messages and demands from across the country.

How you can show up:
Join the protest in Tshwane on 27 Feb at 11AM and leave a message on our symbolic bedsheets.

Sometimes the camera comes first. Sometimes support does.

There’s something incredibly special about being invited into such an intimate space, to witness strength, tenderness, and the very first moments of becoming a family.

This birth story was one I supported from pregnancy, and when the day arrived, I stepped into the role of birth photographer, quietly documenting each moment as it unfolded. Beyond the images, I was also there to support early breastfeeding and, shortly after, capture a Fresh 48 session. Those raw, beautiful first hours of connection, whether in hospital or at home.

Birth and newborn photography isn’t just about photos.

It’s about presence, trust, and understanding birth from the inside out, so nothing is rushed, nothing is missed, and memories are solidified so you don't ever forget.

These are the moments you don’t want to forget.

Luckily for me none if the babas came early but it will be the start of my on-call period in the next few days for a client and honestly I'm so excited!
