These are uncertain times with the world grappled by COVID-19. An extended national lockdown plus not knowing whether to bathe in sanitiser, sew a home-made mask or risk possible infection to buy groceries, plus the added worry of getting out to attend an appointment.
Normally working at UCT and in light of campus temporary shutdown, I have managed to secure treatment rooms in Observatory and am available to treat patients.
Should a hands-on physiotherapy treatment be required, this can be arranged. Strict guidelines are applied to ensure all patients are treated in a well sanitised and ventilated room. An essential services permit/appointment card can be sent to you to allow you to attend your physiotherapy appointment during the lockdown period.
As much as physiotherapy is a hands-on treatment, having the opportunity to discuss pain or discomfort that you may be experiencing and getting medical advice and/or an exercise or stretching programme (modified for the home if required) may just be the solution to help alleviate your symptoms.
