When we said: βDonβt Google your symptomsβ, it now applies to AI chat bots too. π€
Latest research shows AI will take info found published on websites (and perhaps questionable ones), not necessarily the most up to date programmes and of course, doesnβt take you, the individual, into account.

Healing is rarely about one big moment.
It is often found in the small things. The morning light. A little hope. The decision to keep showing up.
As physios, we do not just treat pain. We help people move forward, one step at a time.
If your body has been asking for attention, this is your reminder to listen. πΏ
Congrats to all cyclists who took on the challenge of the Cape Town Cycle Tour 2026 yesterday in hot and windy conditions.
Well done to those who had the courage to take on the 42km short route, perhaps weβll see you on the start line for the full tour in the future.
Legs up, have that snack this week π and when ready, do a little movement to aid the recovery eg. Walk, swim or if the body allows, a short cycle.

These are uncertain times with the world grappled by COVID-19. An extended national lockdown plus not knowing whether to bathe in sanitiser, sew a home-made mask or risk possible infection to buy groceries, plus the added worry of getting out to attend an appointment.
Normally working at UCT and in light of campus temporary shutdown, I have managed to secure treatment rooms in Observatory and am available to treat patients.
Should a hands-on physiotherapy treatment be required, this can be arranged. Strict guidelines are applied to ensure all patients are treated in a well sanitised and ventilated room. An essential services permit/appointment card can be sent to you to allow you to attend your physiotherapy appointment during the lockdown period.
As much as physiotherapy is a hands-on treatment, having the opportunity to discuss pain or discomfort that you may be experiencing and getting medical advice and/or an exercise or stretching programme (modified for the home if required) may just be the solution to help alleviate your symptoms.
Consultation slots of 45min can be booked. This will be used to: discuss and analyse your symptom behaviour, perform a physical assessment for the condition, perform an individualised treatment as well as a home programme drawn up (where applicable).
Medical Aid rates apply.
Consultations can be paid via SnapScan, Bank Card (Visa & MasterCard - contactless), FNB GEO-Payment. Unfortunately no cash/cheque bank deposits will be accepted. EFT payments will be accepted, by prior arrangement with the physiotherapist.
Invoices will be emailed for patients to claim back from their Medical Aids.
