Have you reached a metabolic plateau in your weight loss journey?📈

This could be challenging, but you can overcome this plateau and reset your metabolism with the right strategy.

▪Evaluate Current Routine: Start by closely examining your current diet and exercise regimen. Sometimes, small adjustments can make a big difference.

▪Increase Water Intake: Hydration is crucial for metabolism and overall health. Aim to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day. Not only does it keep you hydrated, but it can also help with feelings of hunger.

▪Incorporate a Protein Day: A protein day can help reset your metabolism. See the example of a Protein Day provided. You can extend this to 3 days but get back to your balanced meal plan after day 3.

▪Adjust Macronutrient Balance: Ensure you're getting the right balance of macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates, and fats) for your body type and goals. Sometimes, shifting this balance slightly can kickstart your metabolism. It could be as simple as taking a break from your meal plan for a week and then get back into things.

▪Try High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT): Adding HIIT workouts to your routine can rev up your metabolism and help burn more calories both during and after exercise.

Here is a healthy food list to shop from and plan your healthy meals. Remember we are 80% what we eat, so even if you move less this winter, make sure you are having healthy balanced meals.

Weekends are where we do the most damage.

Planning ahead and having healthy foods in the house, your handbag and car is key. Avoid drinking you calories and rather consume ypur calories through balanced meals.

Opt for smaller portions and if you are entertaining or going to a party have your cheat meal but choose healthy options the rest of the weekend. Let your healthy habits and choices outweigh the bad ones.
