What are the causes of IBS?
For many people, IBS is a long-term (chronic) condition that involves ongoing episodes of abdominal pain or discomfort linked to changes in their bowel movements. Some individuals—especially those whose symptoms began after a bout of food poisoning or traveler’s diarrhea (known as post-infectious IBS)—may see gradual improvement over time. However, for others, IBS can be a lifelong condition.

The causes of IBS is not completely understood. There are possible factors like genetics and prior adverse life experiences (e.g., infection, trauma) that can predispose someone to get IBS.

Sourcelink Healthcare is a disposable consumable manufacturer based in Centurion, Pretoria. We have been in the Healthcare manufacturing sector since 2011 and owned by a Dutch based Private Equity Investor by the name of Investment for Health in Africa (IFHA)

We supply various market sectors within the Healthcare space, ranging from Veterinarian services, Dialysis Units, Doctors’ rooms, various specialists (dental and cosmetic) to Funeral Services. Our main focus is the manufacturing of a wide of disposable linen as well as disposable surgical drapes. We have pretty much standardized on specific sizes for the linen that caters for a range of applications in associated markets.

Sourcelink has two of the biggest International Renal Care companies in South Africa on board of which we have unofficial feedback of a 30% saving since having moved over to disposable linen. The saving is over and above aspects such as minimizing levels of cross contamination and increased hygiene levels.
