The Classic Braai Pie
Ingredients:
* 2 rolls of puff pastry
* 200g cooked, sliced boerewors or leftover braai meat
* 1 onion, finely chopped and sautéed
* 1 cup grated cheddar and mozzarella cheese
** Optional additions: sliced mushrooms, peppadews, or a layer of creamed spinach.
Method:
* On a braai grid, lay out one sheet of puff pastry.
* Spread your fillings evenly over the pastry, leaving a border around the edges.
* Top with the grated cheese.
* Place the second sheet of pastry over the top and press the edges firmly together with a fork to seal.
* Braai over medium-low coals, turning frequently, until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up (about 15-20 minutes).
Slice and enjoy!
