✨ 5 Clinical Skincare Lessons from the Weekend Masterclass ✨

This past weekend’s Physicians Masterclass was packed with insight, science, and powerful reminders of how skincare can be both preventative and transformative.

Here are my 5 biggest takeaways from the experience:
1️⃣ Prevent • Protect • Correct – the core philosophy of SkinCeuticals ensures you are looking after the skin from all angles.
2️⃣ Antioxidants aren’t optional — they’re clinically essential- BUT follow the science: it matters!
3️⃣ Research is great to prove concepts, but innovation is the next level- peptides that tighten, serums that lift, that’s SkinC 🌟 level
4️⃣ Continuous learning, listening and reworking is where the real growth and magic happens - the new discolouration defence is proof!
5️⃣ The future is integrated: in-clinic treatments + at-home protocols = best outcomes. Protect your investments with the right insurance 🤍

Grateful for the experts , peers, and mentors I got to learn with. Scroll through for a mix of science, skincare, and behind-the-scenes!

Have you ever tried a professional-grade antioxidant serum or post-treatment protocol? Would love to hear what worked for you 👇

3️⃣ Proving efficacy is one thing but creating answers for your questions that are scaling is something on another level. Think powerful peptides that relax, think serums that lift, that’s SkinC.
4️⃣ The ability to learn, rework and relaunch if needed is the ultimate in being your own best critic. If something isn’t working/ideal rework it - hello to the newly formulated discoloration defence ⭐️
5️⃣ The future is integrated: in-clinic treatments + at-home protocols = best outcomes. Skincare can boost your in office investment so make sure you’ve got the best “insurance”

Happy Women’s Day from 3 girls who know their worth and are making sure you do too 🩷🩷🩷

This year has highlighted the struggle and juggle that only other women will truly understand!
Grateful for the opportunities, learning and support from fellow women and of course men who support us women in our sometimes crazy endeavours!

Just a girl making her way in the world becoming a woman, hoping my children never doubt how loved they are and that Raphaella learns to never accept anything less than she deserves 🩷

Acne chats 💚💚💚 step into my “office”

Acne consultations are some of my favourite, the most challenging but so rewarding!

Acne isn’t just about breakouts- it’s about
Confidence,
Self-esteem, and sometimes,
Deep frustration.

Every consult is a puzzle 🧩 skin type, previous products, current routines, preferences, fears and goals.
The challenge? No one-size-fits-all treatment, but that’s what makes it so fulfilling!

I love seeing my patients regain their confidence as their skin clears, that first smile when they notice real progress- reason enough for me 🤍

Struggling with acne?
Let’s figure it out together 💡

In the meantime pop your acne questions below and I’ll try work through some of them with you!

🤍 6 years of .discovered as a page 🤍

Some of you have been here since the beginning (swipe to see that first intro post), but over this time many new faces have popped up to be part of the journey in this community!

I started as a woman with big hopes and dreams for both myself and dermatology, but really as a platform to promote access to Dermatology and answer burning questions in a more scientific way to hopefully cut through the skincare noise 🤍

6 years on I’ve been in private practice for just over 3 years and still have a passion for dermatology and education as well as promotion of our speciality at my core.

💜I’ve gained 2 babies along the way, one being an expreemie who further expanded this community and taught me just how beautifully medicine & Faith compliment eachother,
🤍Got to treat and meet so many more patients and help them on their skin journeys and Im just getting started,
🩵Work with incredible partners and grow the skin education space both here and through online Dermatology Diploma tutoring based out of Ireland ⭐️

Thank you for being a part of this Dermatology with sprinkles of life and experiences community.
I’m very excited for what the future holds as I feel it’s just getting started!
In looking at the horizon we often don’t notice the mountain we are standing on so please reach out and share where you are on your journey so together we can acknowledge your mountains!

Oh to be filled with love,
Love for life,
Love for your people,
Love for what you do &
To see the world through rose coloured glasses even for a little bit…

Celebrated my cousin’s little boys Christening in Botrivier today. An area I spent a lot of time in while doing my community service in Caledon.

It’s crazy how much can change in 9️⃣years…
I left Cape Town with a heavy heart to my community service in a little town off the N2.
A “quiet” town you would think but the fact that the N2 splits it made it a less than quiet spot.

From this little hospital, I saw life and death, I saw how much you can do with so little but also how much is asked of healthcare providers.
I learnt about team work - we all did everything, wards, clinics, theatre and before we left for the day helped out in ongevalle to “clear the box” for the person staying on.
I made incredible friends and my love for cycling was born. Commutes to the Botrivier and greyton clinics were slow as I waited for sheep and cows or horses to cross or just stopped to smell the canola or chat to a friendly passer by.

While the system is often broken or severely damaged you can often take from it what you make of it.
So while you may be awaiting the 1st of January with a heavy heart feeling like it’s all very unfair, my hope is that you lean in, learn what you can, do as much as you can and realise that it’s these experiences that shape you not always professionally but personally and if you let them they will change you for the better.

Everytime we drive past I give a little hoot and wonder what’s happening in Ongevalle grateful for the little hospital on the hill serving the not so quiet farmlands 🤍

Merry Christmas from mine to yours and to all a good night ⭐️

Grateful for a full house,
A day spent chasing barefoot Christmas fairies and happiest little elves,
For a table of loved ones and forever remembering the empty seats ⭐️

Twinkling lights, crumpled paper, plates scraped, carols still singing softly, towels hung up from late evening swims and kids tucked away remembering Christmas Day 🎅🏻

Grateful 🤍🤍 for all of you and what I get to do on here and in the office!

Dermatology is incredible and today was one of the best kind of Dermatology days!

🎥 I got to do some glam education,
🔎 See some general dermatology cases,
📏 Teach (I missed this a lot in my practice so applied to be a teacher in the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland - Diploma in dermatology! Today was my first session and had students all across the world which was just as invigorating as I’d hoped),
🪡 Had my theatre afternoon- I love the practical side of dermatology so after honing some skills at our latest Congress I have decided to carve out time in my practice to allow for more of this!

Grateful for all this and for all of you that keep me motivated, that continuously engage and challenge me!

This is me reminding you to check in every now and then in on what really makes you happy, what you miss and what you could change to fulfill yourself in different ways. It’s often small shifts that make a huge difference 🤍
