We are busy creating a space for our clients with neurological conditions to socialize and partake in fun activities together. An accessible coffee shop will be launched next month but we are on the look out for pre-loved items that need a new purpose in life. If you have any of the items listed on the pamphlet that are still in decent condition, please contact us and we’ll happily come collect if you’re unable to drop it off. We are so excited to be hosting our very first Parkinson’s support group tomorrow morning at our clinic.We had an incredible response and had over 30 patients sign up in less than 3 weeks🍾🍾🍾This highlighted to us how important this group really is and how much this community needed it.We will continue to take on new members and will most likely start up a second group from next month.

The Neuro Hub is very excited to announce that it will be starting a Parkinson's disease support group on the final Saturday on each month. The first meeting will take place on July 30th at 10am at our premises in Craighall. Space is limited so please get in contact with us to book your spot.

Meet the members of our very special Neuro physiotherapy team:
Joshua Sandler

Josh is the very proud owner of Sandler Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and is the founder of The Neuro Hub. He graduated in 2008 from the University of Witwatersrand and then went on to complete his Masters in Neurological Physiotherapy in 2015.

He has a special interest in working with patients who suffer from Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and functional neurological disorders.

Josh's dream was to create a facility which had multiple disciplines working together to help optimise the quality of life of all of our patients. The Neuro Hub is the culmination of that dream.

Meet the members of our very special Neuro physiotherapy team:
Stacey Kieser

Stacey graduated in 2013 from the University of Witwatersrand. She loves all areas of neuro rehabilitation however her area of expertise and passion lies in the field of spinal cord injuries. She has 7 years experience working in a specialised spinal cord injury rehabilitation unit. Her knowledge and vast experience in this field is an asset to have at our practice.

Amy Morgan

Amy Graduated in 2014 with her BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Witwatersrand. She completed her Basic Bobath course in 2016 and then went on to further her studies at Wits University. She completed her MSc Physiotherapy in adult neurology in 2020.

Amy is passionate about neuro rehabilitation and loves working with all neurological conditions. She says she just strives to have a positive impact on the lives of all the patients that she treats.

Meet the members of our very special Neuro physiotherapy team:
Danielle Schneider
Dani worked for 4 years in government at Thelle Mogoerane Regional hospital heading up the neuro rehabilitation unit. During this time, she gained experience in acute and chronic rehabilitation treating neurological and neurosurgical patients.

She recently completed her MSc in Physiotherapy for adult neurology at the University of Witwatersrand. Her thesis looked at sexual function and quality of life in patients post stroke.

She is passionate about treating patients with stroke, head injury and spinal cord injury.

Meet The Neuro Hub's exceptional neuro psychologist Cindy van Wyk
Cindy van Wyk is a Clinical Neuropsychologist with a dual registration in both Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology. She completed her Masters in Psychology (R.D.) at the University of Johannesburg in 2011 with cm laude, and completed her M.A. Neuropsychology at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2013. She has a long-held passion for understanding the intricate neural underpinnings of human behaviour and has a special interest in acquired brain injury and neurological illness including stroke, epilepsy, genetic disorders, and traumatic brain injury.
