I’m really happy to be back.

I hope you’ll have a listen when you can. I have a feeling many of you are in a very similar place to where I’ve been these past two weeks.

Let’s not be sheep.
Let’s take our power back.
Let’s be more mindful of what we consume and what we allow to shape how we feel.

After my little break from social media, I can honestly say… we’re all doing just fine.

Kai is still gaming and being silly.
Ella is still upside down doing backflips any chance she gets.

And me?

I’m still doing my regular green juices.
Still making delicious, healthy, homemade meals… in between piles of dishes.
Still navigating life without my helper who is currently away.
Still solo parenting most days.
Still spending hours in the car.

And yet, there is so much gratitude.

Because stepping away made me realise something very clearly…

This life, as full and messy as it is, is one that I’ve built.
And it’s one that I truly love living.

It’s not curated.
It’s not perfect.
But it’s real.

And that, for me, feels like such a relief.

It’s so important that we build a life we actually enjoy being in. BUILD A LIFE YOU LOVE TO LIVE!

Not one that just looks good from the outside.

How are YOU! Dm me or comment.
Sending love to all of you.

Ps. Podcast of my break linked in my bio and stories.

We often think happiness is something we should just wake up feeling. But contentment and joy don’t appear overnight. They’re built slowly through effort.

And effort creates those small dopamine hits in the brain that help us feel good.

Many people think they’re bored or uninspired. But often what’s really happening is that we’re watching other people do things instead of doing things ourselves.

Scrolling through someone else’s life will never create the same sense of fulfillment.

Dopamine “mood food” often comes from being intentional. Planning something. Doing it. Watching it unfold. Sometimes waiting. Reaping the reward. Even sharing it. Enjoying it. Sitting with that small moment you build!

I often feel grateful that many of us grew up before social media, when we had to discover hobbies and joy on our own. That foundation matters.

If you feel a little stuck, start small:

• Plant two herbs. Basil and mint are easy and grow beautifully on a kitchen counter.
• Make something simple. Even a colourful fruit salad frozen yoghurt.
• Turn noticing into a hobby. What did you see today that sparked a little joy?

So exciting to see this new branch open in Claremont, Cape Town, right in a central and convenient location.

If you have a child who loves technology, creativity, and learning new skills, this space is designed for them. They cater for ages 6 to 18 and create an environment where kids can explore, build confidence, and grow their digital skills in a fun, supportive way.

They’re offering a free trial day so your child can get a feel for it and see if it’s the right fit.

From my own experience, I highly, highly recommend it.

It’s a Monday. It’s a new month. And our brains love this feeling of beginning again — the chance to reset, to realign, to try once more.

But what truly makes us feel our best isn’t found in big, dramatic goals. It lives in the small habits we stack every single day.

It’s the focus you apply to your form during a quick 12 minute workout.
It’s the warm lemon water in the morning, knowing you’re supporting your gut.
It’s making sure your meals are macro balanced.
It’s the three intentional minutes of slow inhales and exhales between meetings.
It’s checking in with your partner during a busy day.
It’s pausing at 2 p.m. to feel the sun on your skin.
It’s the intentional snack you choose at 4 p.m.
It’s the boundary you hold when a meeting runs late.
It’s the extra long hug you give your child in the evening.
It’s the effort you make to go to bed at a decent time.
It’s the willpower you choose to stop scrolling by nine.

It’s never just one big thing.
It’s all the little things, done consistently, that quietly change how we feel.
