Walking to a meeting in Cape Town, sunshine on my face, some movement , because why not maximise the moments that already exist in your day, you don’t need more time, you need better use of the time you already have, movement doesn’t have to be another thing on the to-do list, it can be built into your life, when your body is healthier and your mind and spirit are supported you become more focused, more energised and more productive, everything works together.

I’m so excited to step into corporate wellness and help people see that achieving big career goals and feeling strong, energised and confident in your body is not an either/or, it’s not work or wellness, it’s learning how to support your body in a way that allows you to create your dream life, sustainably and intentionally.

As I turn 41, here’s what I know for sure,
Stop apologising for who you are and what you want.
Stop looking back, your power is in discovering the way forward.
Forgive those who hurt you, not for them, but to heal your own heart.

Do more of what lights you up, and be brave enough to walk away from what drains you.
Be kinder to your body. Be gentler with your heart.
Stop prioritising others at the expense of yourself.

Trust yourself again.
Stop ignoring your intuition, it has been guiding you all along.

There is nothing more powerful than knowing yourself.
Nothing more freeing than choosing to show up as your most honest, aligned version every single day then to get even better as this person you CHOOSE to be.

41 isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about finally being who I have always been.

Zesty Crunch Lime-Kissed Cucumber Salad

Fresh, tangy, gut-nourishing and incredibly satisfying.

Perfect as a 4 PM snack, a side for four, or a full meal when paired with protein.

Serves
• 1 as a main or snack
• 4 as a side dish

Nutritional Value (per serving, when serving 1, without added protein)
• Calories: 320 kcal
• Protein: 6 g
• Carbohydrates: 18 g
• Fats: 26 g
• Fibre: 9 g

Healthy-ish Lifestyle Tracking Method
• Counts as 2 fat units
• Add a protein of choice to make this a balanced main meal

Ingredients
• Half a cucumber, chopped
• Half a red onion, thinly sliced
• One large red, ripe tomato, diced
• Half an avocado, diced
• One small square of crumbly feta cheese
• Juice of half a lime
• 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
• Olive oil, generous amount
• Sea salt, generous sprinkle
• Optional finely chopped cilantro or herb of choice

Method
• Add cucumber, red onion, tomato, avocado, feta, and herbs to a bowl
• Add lime juice and apple cider vinegar
• Drizzle generously with olive oil
• Sprinkle with sea salt
• Gently mix everything together
• Serve immediately

To Serve
• Thin, crunchy plain salted crisps on the side
• Optional protein of choice, grilled chicken works well

When I sat down to make this list, I really almost felt them as I wrote them down. I remind you all that small joys are way more impactful than big joy, small dopamine hits for the brain are much better.

It’s so good for us. Pick one or two, hold onto them, enjoy them, and share them with a friend or a loved one.

Remember, this is the time to soften your body, your mind, and your heart.
