We are saddened at the news of the passing of Mrs Naseema Ismael, a finalist in HOPE Cape Town’s Remarkable Woman 2025 project at The Nex-Indawo Yethu. As a humble, yet powerful leader in her community, Naseema went about her work quietly and never expected a reward. May Allah grant her family and friends strength through this difficult time.

During the recent school holidays, our NexGen team had the pleasure of hosting RobbotBuddyEngineerz — a brand-new FTC team from Hindle High School in Delft.
It was an inspiring day of knowledge-sharing, as NexGen guided the rookie team on what to expect in their first FTC season. From hands-on support with their robot’s mechanical build to tips on getting started with coding in Android Studio, the collaboration was both practical and empowering.
The NexGen marketing team also stepped in to share insights on creating a strong Engineering Portfolio, along with guidance on branding elements like logos and team T-shirts.
Beyond the skills and learning, it was a great opportunity to connect, collaborate, and build new friendships
We’re excited to welcome RobbotBuddyEngineerz back when we host a fun scrimmage at The Nex campus on 25 April!

Easter excitement was in full swing on the final day of the Kap23 Youth Centre’s 3-day holiday programme.
From creating bunny-inspired arts and crafts and masks, to enjoying karaoke, the day ended on a high with an Easter egg hunt and a delicious hot cross bun feast.
A perfect celebration filled with laughter, fun, and friendship.

Exciting news from The Nex! Our popular Coder Dojo coding clubs are growing – and we’re thrilled to announce a new High School Coding Club for Grades 9–12 learners.
In partnership with Delft Nex Indawo Yethu WCG E-Centre facilitators, this club will focus on skills for school research projects, as well as tools and techniques that prepare learners for future career opportunities.
