Time is an infinite resource we are often get told we do not have enough. Not true!
As the Dreaming is Your Birthright retreat came to a close, one of the strongest conceptual threads that emerged was the reclamation of time.
Instead of treating time as a rigid structure, it was experienced as an extension of spirit. When a moment became sacred, the clock bent around it. Presence, not precision, defined the rhythm.
The phrase “time that respects relationships” as opposed to "time waits for no man" surfaced as language for African temporal consciousness a way of being where connection, ritual, and meaning guide our pace. It contrary to Western linearity, where urgency often outweighs intimacy and speed replaces depth.
In that space, participants found room to breathe, to listen, and to dream differently. The experience reminded us that dreaming is not limited to what happens at night it is a way of moving through the world with reverence, attention, and spiritual intelligence.
