It was a cool day literally & figuratively! Here's pictures that speaks volumes ! Excitement, achievement, camaraderie, strength, community, love and purpose!. 22 Residents - that's no mean feat, logistically and overseeing their well being and safety! Thank you to each & every volunteer / friend / family member/ Grantor that showed up and supported our residents. To our amazing church ladies and my friends, thank you for giving up your Sunday & taking care of our residents to the finish line . Thank you Morgan for always carrying the load from dawn to dusk, ensuring the structures in place for everyone to enjoy the day . Those that 'walk' this journey with us each year- we are only able to continue with this with this kinda support 🙏🙏

Mental Health Advocacy Walk 5th October 2025!

What a Sunday! Even all predictions of heavy rains and the threatening weather on the day didn't stop us showing up and walking down ! The wind whipped us a bit, but it was a beautiful day !
Our residents kitted in their NBL tees & energy to tackle the 5kms from North Beach to South Beach & back .

Kogie preferred to share special treats with our residents on her birthday than being anywhere else! She has been supplying hairdressing services every 6 weeks to NBL for the last 3 years . We are blessed to have this lovely lady in our midst, volunteering when we need a helping hand, gently & lovingly sharing her gifting and skills with our residents ! We wish you another blessed, healthy year in your life🙏🙏 You are valued dear Kogie 😘💕

It was truly an honour and a humbling experience contributing to this amazing organisation's fund raising drive for Children with Cancer @ La Lucia mall on Saturday 27th September . North Bay Lodge did their bit by baking & sponsoring cup cakes, decorated by some of our residents . Natalie did an awesome job with the icing & packaging the bake. We hope the association surpassed their targets 🌻

It's heart warming noting how our residents automatically have such enthusiasm for any initiative or new experience! They loudly & proudly reminded the organisers of KZN Mental Health Advocacy group that they will be there tackling the fun 5km walk on 5th October 2025 on . NBL residents enjoying life , one day at a time, making each moment count! 😁

Today was an emotional " Soo long.. til we see you again ' as we bade farewell to one of our precious residents Kyle after 3 years of being part of the NBL family .

This special, talented, wonderful young man & his family
relocated to inland KZN this month

Here's to great new beginnings dearest Kyle. We will miss you. Pls do come visit soon 💓
