Approximately Eighteen school children injured in a serious taxi accident on the N3 before Mariannhill Toll Plaza just before 7am on Monday morning.

ALS Paramedics Medical Services arrived on the scene to find total carnage after a single taxi transporting school children had lost control and overturned coming to rest on its roof. Paramedics quickly set up a triage system and immediately called for more ambulances as well as Advanced Life Support Paramedics to assist with the multiple casualties on the scene. A total of approximately eighteen children sustained injuries ranging from moderate to severe were stabilised on the scene before been transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further treatment that they required.

At this stage the events leading up to the accident are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.

Just after 2:30pm on Sunday afternoon ALS Paramedics responded to a serious single vehicle crash on Edwin Swales Drive before South Coast Road.

Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a single vehicle had somehow lost control and collided with the concrete bridge. The driver and apparently only only occupant of the vehicle was found having been ejected from the vehicle. Paramedics assessed the man believed to be in his thirties however he had sustained major injuries and there was nothing Paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased on the scene.

At this stage the events leading up to the crash is unknown however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.

Just after 2pm on Sunday afternoon ALS Paramedics responded to a serious multiple vehicle crash on the N3 Pietermaritzburg bound near Berea Offramp leaving the CBD.

Paramedics arrived on the scene to find chaos as they found that Two Taxis and Two Cars had collided before one Taxi overturned coming to rest on its side. Multiple patients were spread out on the National Route and immediately more Ambulances as well as Advanced Life Support Paramedics were dispatched to assist.

Approximately Twenty Five people had sustained various injuries ranging from moderate to serious and once all of the injured had been stabilised on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage the events leading up to the crash is unknown however SAPS and Metro Police were in attendance and will be investigating further.

Man Killed in Mobeni Shooting

Just before 8am this morning ALS Paramedics responded to numerous calls of a shooting incident on Nottingham Place in Mobeni South of Durban.

Paramedics arrived on the scene to find a male in his forties had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body. He was in a critical condition and Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to try and stabilize him on the scene. Due to the severity of the man's injuries he went into a state of Cardiac Arrest and despite extensive resuscitation efforts on the scene the man passed away.

At this stage the events leading up to the shooting is unknown however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.

Two Men Killed in One Hour in Chatsworth shootings.

ALS Paramedics responded to two seperate shootings in the Chatsworth area South of Durban on Wednesday.

Just after 11:30am Paramedics responded to Summerfield Road Bayview for reports of a shooting. Medics found that a Man in his forties who is known to be a local Barber had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics assessed the man however he showed no signs of life and was declared deceased on the scene.

Shortly afterwards around 12:30 Paramedics responded to Fiona Road approximately 2km from the first incident for another shooting. On arrival Paramedics found a man in his forties who had been working in the garden when he was allegedly shot by unknown gunman. Paramedics assessed the man however he had sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing Paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased on the scene.

At this stage the events leading up to the shooting is unknown however SAPS were in attendance at both scenes and will be investigating further.
