Farewell 2025 - Hello 2026!

Our residents enjoyed a scrumptious old year's eve dinner and were treated to spectacular fireworks displays over the promenade and Suncoast Casino.

Dominic Goncalves, the grandson of our dear resident Pat Freedman, visited Edenroc to read from his book "Cruising Kid" which he wrote from the age of 9 when he sailed around the world with his folks on their 37 ft yacht, Indigo.

The book was published when he was 15, and garnered critical acclaim the world over, including in a review by The Mercury entitled "A Teacher's Dream".

Dominic gifted a signed copy of his book to the Edenroc library and also gave a copy to avid reader and fan, Jon Major.

Today, at 38, Dominic lives in Portugal and still loves to travel.

Thank you, Dominc, for your visit, your gift and your precious time. We appreciate you.
