Your s*xual and reproductive health should not be an after thought. And it’s definitely not only about s*x and babies.

When your reproductive health is out of sync, your body speaks, through fatigue, low libido, irregular cycles mood changes, discomfort, and that quiet feeling of not quite feeling like yourself.

This is why your care should never be reactive. It should be intentional, ongoing and prioritised.

You get to set the terms. Book the check-up, ask the questions, understand your body. Your health responds to your choices

Your favorite Gynae, now in 2D. 🤭

Apparently, I’m just a walking mix of pink scrubs, ultrasound gel, and thinking about babies and your hormonal health 24/7

I love that the Al included the Pap test kit. It’s a subtle hint that if you’re reading this and you’re overdue for yours, I see you. The caricature is cute, but the pap “reminder” is even cuter.

Being told your pregnancy is high risk can sound frightening, but in reality, it simply means you and your baby need a little more attention.

A high risk profile allows your care team to:

• Monitor you more closely.
• Identify potential concerns earlier
• Adjust care plans proactively

Staying informed is key. Understanding your risk factors, attending regular check-ups, and asking questions empowers you to participate actively in your care.

With the right information, early monitoring, and a tailored medical plan, many high-risk pregnancies progress safely and result in healthy outcomes.

A pre-conception visit is all about preparation.

It allows your doctor to review your health, optimise any chronic conditions, update screenings, and address factors that could affect pregnancy before you conceive.

This early planning helps reduce risks, support healthier outcomes, and gives you clarity as you move forward.

A healthy pregnancy begins before the positive test

Pregnancy is more than a positive test. It’s a complex, evolving physiological journey that requires informed care, early monitoring, and ongoing support.

This week we’ll be highlighting the importance of

• Early antenatal booking
• Regular check-ups and screening
• Maternal physical and mental health
• Evidence-based guidance at every stage
• Recognising that every pregnancy is different

From conception to delivery, timely medical care plays a critical role in protecting both mother and baby in identifying potential risks early.

Healthy pregnancies begin with knowledge, continuity of care, and support that extends beyond the delivery room.

Ever heard of “The Husband Stitch”?

It’s not a bonus feature. It’s not a glow up. And it’s definitely not a joke.

It’s an outdated, unnecessary practice where an extra stitch is added after childbirth, not for healing, but to supposedly make things “tighter”

Spoiler alert: Vaginas are not loose threads. Women are not DIY projects. And medicine is not here to impress anyone’s husband.

There is no medical benefit, and plenty of potential harm, pain, discomfort, and trauma being top of the list.

A stitch after childbirth is only done for repair, not enhancement. Sometimes, more stitches are required but only because

•The tear is deeper or more extensive
•Multiple tissue layers (skin, muscle) need separate repair
•Bleeding control requires additional suturing

Not because anything needs to be “tighter” Not because someone asked for “one more”

The right number of stitches in the minimum required to restore normal anatomy and function

Ofcourse we cater for enhancements because YOU would like them. We are here for you first…

we got you girl 😉

Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is common and often asymptomatic. Persistent infection with high-risk strains can lead to cervical cancer.

HPV vaccination is a proven, evidence-based method of prevention. Combined with regular screening, it significantly reduces cervical cancer risk.

If you have questions about HPV, vaccination timing, or cervical cancer prevention reach out to your healthcare provider to establish an appropriate prevention plan.

It all starts with the smallest flutter
A little tickle in your ovaries when you imagine the day you’ll hold your own in your arms. Then a heartbeat. Then 100 firsts that follow and somehow in the blink of an eye you’re standing at the door sending them off.

It’s a strange ache the kind you feel deep in your womb, the kind that reminds you that motherhood is not just carried in the heart but in the body too.

To all the mom‘s packing more than just suitcases, you’re sending off pieces of your heart. This isn’t the end, it’s a new chapter.

You gave them roots, now you get to watch them fly

I may be an expert in helping your little one arrive safely into this world but I’m no expert in sending away pieces of my heart.

and yet here we are, grateful, proud, a little sore in places no scan can explain.

Someone did tell me to enjoy every moment with them…I heard them but I’m only listening to them now.

And if I seem a little tender in this season, a little slower, a little quieter, please grant me grace

I’m learning in real time, how to let go of a piece of my heart and trust that it knows exactly where it’s meant to go

I love my patients, I truly do. It’s an honour I never take likely, to hold your hand, to listen, and walk alongside you through your health journey.

I am by nature someone who loves to connect, but I also believe that when a patient is in the consultation room with me they deserve my undivided attention not divided between them and the screen, not interrupted by notifications or devices.

Between a busy practice, theatre cases and everything in between it’s possible for a message to get lost in the sea of notifications, I never want that to feel like a lack of care because it isn’t.

Your care matters. Always

For prompt assistance and time sensitive queries please reach out via our Whatsapp Line, my team is there to support you and will flag anything that needs my direct attention ensuring nothing important is missed

You are seen, you are heard and your health remains our priority every step of the way

Welcome to the Jargon Olympics

The science? Impeccable.
Life-saving. Necessary. Non-negotiable.

The naming….we have questions.

Some of these terms do important work, they just sound like they skipped branding, tone, and audience testing entirely.

This isn’t about dumbing anything down. It’s about language that informs without alarming, explains without intimidating, and respects the people living inside these bodies.

And this is where your gynaecologist comes in. Not just to use the terms, but to translate them, break them down, add context, and explain what actually matters for you.

Which medical term makes you pause, squint, or give a very deserved side-eye?

That itch that keeps you adjusting, shifting, and hoping no one notices…let’s talk about it.

Vaginal thrush can cause itching, irritation, and changes in discharge, and while it’s treatable, it can be uncomfortable and disruptive.

It tends to appear more frequently during the warmer months, as the fungus responsible thrives in heat and moisture, with sweating and tight clothing often contributing.

In this reel, we share a few practical tips to help manage and reduce thrush quietly, confidently, and comfortably 😉
