At Graceland Nursing Home we invite family and friends to visit at any time without having to make appointments to see loved ones or meet with our staff. Relatives are welcome to call or pop in at any time with concerns or enquiries.

Situated in a peaceful location in Glenwood, opposite a small residential park that looks magnificent when its Flamboyant Trees are in full bloom.

Opened in 2012 in loving memory of Elaine Finch and Roma Unsworth, who lived their last few years with Alzheimer’s.

On 1 December 2023, Graceland Nursing Home was purchased by Mrs Verna Brickley, who, for the past 16 years has successfully run Falls Haven and Bluff Haven. Verna opened her first home, Falls Haven, in memory of her grandfather, Mr Bob Truter after he suffered a stroke. Verna couldn’t find a suitable nursing home and that’s when she decided to open her own nursing home with the intention of providing elderly loved ones with a homely, peaceful place to live and be cared for.
Graceland Nursing Home is managed by professional staff in loving and homely surroundings, with clean and spacious rooms.

Our home offers single and sharing rooms as well as a choice of cottages for our assisted living residents. Residents have the choice of furnishing their own rooms or having us provide them with furnished rooms.

Our trained, friendly, knowledgeable staff members help our residents function as independently as possible.

At Graceland Nursing Home we do all we can to prevent illnesses or accidents from happening. We achieve this by monitoring closely the condition of all our residents. We pride ourselves on our high nursing standards and have high criteria for the employment of any new employee.

The gardens at Graceland Nursing Home are always such a joy, especially this time of year. Our Egyptian Gees are breeding, our fever tree is bustling with Weavers building and nesting, our Woodpeckers are busy and there's lots of splashing at our many birdbaths on the property. And, as pictured, our orchards are BLOOMING. Orchids symbolize a variety of meanings across different cultures, including elegance, refinement, love, romance, strength, endurance, and luxury. A fitting flower for our nursing home. We love and admire our residents and their loved ones. Their strength endures.

We have availability! If you are looking for a home away from home for your loved one, do consider us. We offer various levels of frail care and specialize in caring for people with Dementia/Alzheimers. Our premises have CCTV cameras (internal and external) ensuring the safety and wellness of our residents and staff.

Graceland Nursing Home in Glenwood has availability for short-term (step down or holiday care) and long-term stays. We specialise in the care of people with Dementia/Alzheimer’s, but our expertise also includes caring for stroke victims, persons diagnosed with Motor Neuron disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Epilepsy and various levels of frail care including those who are bed ridden.

Additionally, we also care for individuals with suprapubic catheters, tracheas and people who require peg feeding.

Our home has a practice number therefore some medical aids will cover costs towards 24/7 nursing care.
