Judasa KZN - Junior Doctors Association of South Africa JUDASA is a special interest group of SAMA. It is a forum for medical students, interns and comm service doctors to interact and promote their interests.

The Junior Doctors Association of South Africa (JUDASA) is a special interest group of the South African Medical Association (SAMA). JUDASA was formed in 1992 and is incorporated under section 21 of the Companies Act, 1973. Its main objective is to address the needs and challenges faced by the junior doctors within South Africa. The South African Medical Association (SAMA) formed in 1988, is a non-statutory, professional association for public and private sector medical doctors. Also registered as an independent, non-profit Section 21 company, SAMA champions the interests and causes of both patients and doctors in areas of Government health policy as well as in their interactions with other stakeholders in the health arena. The Association strives for a health care dispensation that will best serve the needs of patients. Membership to JUDASA is voluntary and is offered to all junior public health sector doctors within South Africa. This includes clinical year medical students, doctors doing their two year internship programme, those completing their one year of community service and junior doctors one year after Community Service.
