🍞 Farewell DohRay and Discardo 💀

Day 6 and my sourdough journey came to an early end. The smell was something else and I just couldn’t save them 😅

At least their legacy lives on in this focaccia, crispy, herby, and actually delicious 🙌

Next step: getting an established starter so I can skip the funeral next time 🕯️

Day 5: Meet DohRay 🎶

I combined my two starters, Doh and Ray, into one happy jar. 120g starter, 120g bread flour, 120g water.

Mixed into a new rhythm. Now we wait for the bubbles to rise.

🌙 Day 4: The Quiet Night Feed

Found a bit of h***h on Doh and Ray tonight. Nothing dramatic, just a sign they were ready for dinner.

I stirred it in and fed them 60 g white bread flour and 60 g filtered water. They’ve quietened down a bit after yesterday’s excitement, which feels normal for this stage. Every day has its own mood.
