As reposted by Chatsworth CPF: Await Authenticity.

This just recieved from our CEO-

Dear All

I regret to inform you of a tragic incident which took place at the property of one of our franchisee’s sellers in Chatsworth, Durban, last night.

We understand that the owners of the property, Mr and Mrs Pillay, were brutally attacked. Sadly, Mrs Pillay did not survive, and Mr Pillay remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Unfortunately it is alleged that one of the people implicated in this crime is an intern agent working out of the PGP Amanzimtoti franchise office.

The intern in question has been taken into custody and the matter is now the subject of a police investigation.

Needless to say we are shocked and deeply saddened at this terrible news. Our deepest condolences will be extended to the family, friends and community associated with the victims of this awful event.

There will understandably be a lot of media exposure regarding this tragedy, and PGP may regrettably be a focus of attention. In particular, social media is likely to be very active.

We are coordinating and dealing with this matter from my office, so please refer all media, or other queries, directly for my attention. Under the circumstances please therefore understand that no one is permitted to make any comment, of any nature, related to this matter in any media channel whatsoever, social or otherwise.

I will keep you all informed of any progress in this matter, as and when further information becomes available.

Regards

What REALLY happened on the N2 yesterday...

Four suspects died and one is in hospital under police guard following a shootout between armed robbers and police in Durban yesterday. Once the surviving thug is discharged from hospital, he will be facing a number of charges including attempted murder, possession of property suspected to be stolen as well as possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Yesterday, these brave police officers from KwaZulu-Natal received credible intelligence of a planned robbery. The police officers spotted a white Mercedes Benz, with five occupants along the N2 north bound freeway near Queen Nandi Drive. Police attempted to stop the said vehicle but the suspects opened fire at the policemen whilst fleeing.

A shootout ensued and the suspects pushed the police vehicle off the road which resulted in both vehicles landing on the oncoming south bound lane. Three suspects were fatally wounded in the shootout with police whilst two were arrested with the help of a police chopper. Both the arrested suspects were taken to hospital however one of them subsequently passed away.

Police seized four unlicensed fi****ms with ammunition, a police radio and housebreaking implements. The vehicle used by the suspects was taken during a robbery at Sydenham last month. Three police officers were injured as a result of collision and were also taken to hospital for treatment.

The KwaZulu-Natal Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Bheki Langa praised the police officers for the swift response and brave actions even when they knew that they could have lost their lives in the process. “This incident once again serves as a warning to criminals that our police officers will defend themselves when they come under fire whilst executing their duties. Our police officers where extremely professional and the response witnessed yesterday is in line with the back to basics approach adopted by police,” he said.

*Lenham Murder as Published*
A 35-year old woman was found brutally murdered at her home in Phoenix.
On Saturday, July 28, Nadia Sheik was allegedly stabbed 18 times and mutilated with a kitchen knife by her husband who she resided with on Lenham drive unit 12.
Witnesses say the ordeal happened at about 11am, when they were disturbed by the usual occurrence of Nadia Mia and her husband Naeem Sheik (40) having a domestic dispute, however this time it went a bit too far.
The victim, a mother of two girls aged 7 and 15 years was dragged by her hair outside by her husband in front of neighbors. where he then began ferociously stabbing her on her chest, abdomen and face.
When was done he threw her in the outside bin.
After traumatised neighbors begged him to open the gate so they can check on her, which fell on deaf ears, the husband continued to remove her from the bin and carried her inside the home where she died.
Witnesses state that Naeem murdered his wife whilst their 15 year old daughter was upstairs in the house.
The suspect who was believed to be under the influence of drugs accused his wife of having an affair. When he realised that the neighbours know what he did, he fled the house covered in blood, jumped in to his brothers Jaguar and drove off.
Police later found at his mothers house in Lantana place , Asherville.
It seems he was abusing Nadia for the past couple of months however when he was arrested on Saturday evening, he denied his actions stating he did not know she was dead..
Lt Col Thulani Zwane, SAPS provincial spokesperson said, “The murder weapon , a knife was found at the crime scene. The suspect was arrested at his mothers house and will be charged and sent to court”.

Armed robbery just happened at Hollywood upstairs TSD Springfield Park. ALOEFIELD CRESCENT. Patron shot

20/07/2017

Three people‚ including a husband and wife‚ have been arrested on suspicion that they are part of a blue-light syndicate that impersonated police officers and created fake roadblocks to hijack unsuspecting motorists.

Law enforcement agencies believe the three suspects form part of a syndicate that hijacked 10 cars‚ including a Porsche 911 and Audi RS7‚ in Gauteng and Mpumalanga between August 2015 and May this year.

One of the three‚ Faizel Charloos‚ 39‚ appeared in the Lenasia Magistrate's Court this week for a bail application.

He has been charged with robbery‚ theft and for being in possession of two fi****ms.

Charloos's arrest followed that of his wife‚ Sadiyya‚ and Mozambican national Abeneir Mavhotso‚ who were nabbed in May and appeared in court after Mavhotso was allegedly found spray-painting a hijacked Audi RS7 in Charloos's yard.

National Prosecuting Authority spokeswoman Phindi Louw-Mjonondwane said during the raid at Charloos's house‚ police also found R750‚000 in cash‚ a hijacked Ford Ranger bakkie‚ a police radio‚ two fi****ms and sets of car keys belonging to reportedly hijacked vehicles.

The cars had been reported stolen in Sebokeng‚ Pretoria‚ Diepsloot‚ Emalahleni‚ Brooklyn and Garsfontein‚ among other places.

Louw-Mjonondwane said Charloos's warrant of arrest was issued on Monday and he handed himself over to the police on the same day.

Sadiyya is out on R100‚000 bail‚ while Mavhotso was denied bail because he is in the country illegally.

Louw-Mjonondwane said all the crimes followed the same modus operandi.

"The owners of the cars would be pulled over by people wearing SAPS or metro police uniform‚ with blue-light vehicles. And when they stopped on the side of the road‚ they would be accosted and have their heads covered with plastic bags. They would then be bundled into their cars and dropped off in secluded areas." She said vehicles linked to the sets of car keys found at Charloos's house were later found parked in the basement of a building in the Johannesburg central business district.

She said police were still investigating if the owner of the building was linked to the crimes.

"We are not sure whether they [the syndicate] paid a monthly fee to store the vehicles as the police are trying to investigate." In an affidavit deposed by his Charloos's lawyer‚ Charloos described himself as a transport manager who has worked for Mohammed's Transport for 15 years and said his highest academic qualification was Grade 10‚ which he completed at Nirvana Secondary School in Lenasia.

The father of three said that‚ in addition to his monthly income of R32‚000‚ he also generated between R20‚000 and R30‚000 a month by buying‚ repairing and selling accident-damaged cars. He said he owns a house worth R2-million‚ which contains furniture and household goods worth R350‚000.

Charloos‚ who was applying to be given R10‚000 bail‚ also disclosed that his family had a Mercedes Benz C200 worth R300‚000. He said he had one pending criminal case relating to a charge of corruption.

He said he intended pleading not guilty.

"I vehemently deny that I was involved or complicit in the robbery and/or theft of any motor vehicles and/or the planning of such offences.

"I further wish to state that there is no evidence linking me to any of the alleged robbery or theft of vehicles. I admit that the Audi RS7 was found at my place of residence as well as the Ford Ranger‚" said Charloos.

He claimed to have bought the Audi RS7 from a man named Thokozani Nombula for R650‚000 in May.

He said the Ford Ranger belonged to his employer.

"I was merely driving the vehicle in the performance of my duties as transport manager."

He denied that the sets of keys were found on his premises.

Charloos also said that the R750‚000 was found at his home because he preferred to keep cash he generated from his business at home. The police radio had been given to him by a deceased friend.

Magistrate S Mati postponed the case to Thursday next week for a bail hearing.
