What is a “Pain Clinic?” It is a Center for the evaluation and treatment of all types of pain. ie. chronic. acute and cancer pains. The Durban Pain Clinic takes a more holistic approach in that a patient may be directed to a Psychologist, Dietitian, Biokineticist or Chiropractor. This is to ensure that the mental state and physical strength of the patient is taken in to account. Obviously according to what one’s needs are. The individual will be assessed as a whole person, focusing on the roots causes and symptoms of what pain is.
The pain management program can help the following conditions:
Disc degeneration
Low back pain
Spinal stenosis
Compression fractures
Fibromyalgia
Chronic regional pain syndrome
Upper and lower limb pain
Disc herniation
Arthritis in the back
An average experience of a Durban Pain Clinic Session is first, an Assessment. The patient will be treated in a calm and clean environment. We aim to provide a healing ambiance overall. The recovery of the individual is what is emphasized vitally too. One will leave being assessed, treated, managed and recovered. This is where the other Health Practitioners may come in when needed. One is a patient for well after his/her treatment; until the pain is assessed, treated and managed.
