It was so encouraging to meet with Fathima Hussain, director of SANCA Durban, and Rhudika Naidoo, manager of therapeutic services, today. We love their heart for those needing recovery, for those impacted directly or indirectly by substance use disorders, including adolescents, family members and under-resourced communities.

The Project Exodus team was honoured to take part in the Wellness Days hosted by Unilever on the 6th and 11th of November. Both days were nothing short of amazing - filled with laughter, curiosity, and real talk. Every conversation we had was insightful and deeply meaningful. It was incredible to see how open-minded the staff members were, and witnessing their vulnerability was both humbling and heartwarming.

What a privilege to host Anthea, Telishia, Nelisiwe, and Joshua from Focus on the Family at our offices in Durban North. We had precious few hours strategising as to how we can make a difference in shifting the culture in schools through the use of group work. Plans are being made for Focus on the Family to start rolling out groups for adolescents needing recovery in 2026.

Project Exodus empowers Churches to make effective recovery services accessible for all people, across communities.
The heart is that no one gets left behind!
Breaking new ground in the provision of sustainable solutions, this initiative harnesses the transformative power of the networked Church to make expert recovery resources accessible for all South Africans
Project Exodus is an initiative of Anthem Recovery, a justice & mercy ministry of Anthem Church in Durban North, supported by the foresight and leadership of Pastors Richard and Jaci Mun-Gavin and the Eldership team.
Launched in late 2018, Project Exodus has partnered with numerous churches across the country to help them establish and build groups and recovery ministries. This is achieved through information sharing, education, training, mentorship, and resource provision.
THE LOCAL CHURCH IS A VITAL AGENT FOR CHANGE.
The local Church is a powerful (mostly untapped) resource in securing more equal access to recovery services, for all people.
Project Exodusâs vision is to establish a large network of churches who are properly equipped to facilitate effective recovery processes and assist others in finding true freedom from addiction.
TRAINING WORKSHOPS are regularly held at various locations across South Africa.
