During my time up in the bush at Nambiti Hills last year, I had the pleasure of working with the amazing Mbali.

She’s a passionate chef with a serious talent for pastry and desserts, and a real love for baking. Mbali brings so much creativity into the kitchen and is always eager to learn and try something new.

In a kitchen that’s mostly run by men, she’s worked hard to earn her place, and she’s done it with strength, and pure skill.

She’s strong-willed, full of heart, and once you get to know her, you see just how kind, thoughtful, and genuinely beautiful her spirit is.

So grateful for the time we shared and everything I learned from her.
