TENS, orTranscutaneous Electrical Nerve
Stimulation is a safe and effective way to manage pain and enhance rehabilitation. It works by
delivering gentle electrical pulses through small adhesive pads on the skin, which helps block pain signals from reaching the brain and stimulate the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers. TENS is often used for conditions like arthritis, back pain, or muscle injuries and has shown it can reduce pain and improve mobility. When combined with physical activity during rehabilitation, TENS can help reduce discomfort, making it easier for individuals to engage in exercises that restore strength,
flexibility, and function. This approach not only supports pain relief but also encourages faster recovery by allowing patients to stay active and focused on their rehabilitation goals.
