⚠️ WEATHER ALERT: Heavy Rains Expected for KZN Region

The South African Weather Service has issued a Level 4 warning for heavy rainfall starting from 20H00 tonight (15/04/2025). These rains may lead to localized flooding in parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

Mobi-Claw911 has activated its Search and Rescue Division, Mobi-Claw911 Rescue Support Services, and will be operating its Joint Operations Centre (JOC) in collaboration with SARZA, ER24, and IPSS Search & Rescue.

🚫 What NOT to Do During Flooding:
Do NOT walk or drive through floodwaters.

Just 15 cm of water can knock you off your feet, and 30 cm can sweep your car away.

Floodwaters can hide open manholes, debris, or live power lines.

Do NOT underestimate water depth or speed.

Currents can be stronger than they appear. Avoid wading through floodwaters.

Avoid low-lying areas.

Move to higher ground if you are in basements, underpasses, or dips in terrain.

LOST PET MACAW, PABLO, FOUND SAFE AND SOUND.

A Westville family is celebrating after their beloved pet macaw, Pablo, was found safe following a three day search mission involving volunteers and community members.

Pablo flew out of his family property, which prompted an extensive search across the neighborhood and surrounding areas.

Pablo's owner expressed their relief upon the safe return of their beloved pet.

The bird was found after a community effort that involved volunteers from Mobi-Claw 911 Search and Rescue unit and numerous neighborhood WhatsApp groups users sharing sightings and updates.

The family is now taking extra precautions to ensure that Pablo stays safe and secure in the future.

For those who have pets that have gone missing, local animal shelters, online communities, and volunteer organisations can be valuable resources in reuniting lost animals with their families.

Mobi-Claw 911, we go above and beyond to help our community.
