Meet me 😉

SO...For those of you who don't know I'm the owner, accountant, Biokineticist, social media content creator, therapist, Boss Lady and human behind Elite Health and Wellness.

I am a Biokineticist that has been practicing since 2016 😲 I absolutely love what I do and I am very blessed to be my own Boss lady as Practice owner of Van Niekerk Biokinetics.
I have been running my own Practice since 2019 and have been based predominantly in the Durban North area. 2023 saw the practice attempt to grow and a second satellite practice was added at Kloof High School. At the end of 2024 I made the huge decision to move my practice full time to Kloof and so here we are 2025 and I start a new adventure.

I have a special interest in Injury exercise rehabilitation and pride myself on getting you back to doing what you love as quickly, functionally and safely as possible 💥

In my personal life I'm a wife, a boy mom of 2 pure bundles of joy and energy, and when I am not doing what I love at the practice I love being out in the Bush.

After a lot of soul searching I have made the incredibly hard decision to close the Durban North Practice as of 13 December 2024.

This has been one of the hardest decisions of my life and one that comes with heartbreak as I have to say goodbye to very special clients who have turned into family.

As one practice closes, so another door opens and I have been incredibly lucky to relocate my practice full time to
I cannot wait to continue my amazing journey with this special school and to grow my practice up the hill.

To all my amazing Durban North clients hopefully this is a "see you soon" rather than a forever goodbye and if you ever need me I am always just a phone call or a scenic drive up the hill 💙

Exercise and movement is not only important for physical and muscular development in children but also provides some important cognitive benefits. 🧠

By exposing children to different types of exercise and activities we allow children to learn through play.

This program is designed to assist with your mini human's gross muscle development and gross Motor skills development as well as improving balance, co-ordination and learning a variety of skills and problem solving through play.

Healthy Heart ❤️ = Happy life ☺️

Your heart is a muscle that pumps blood all around the body. It is made up of Cardiac muscle tissue and like all other muscles in the body we need to keep it fit and healthy so that it can cope with daily activities and stress we put it under.

Cardio based exercises such as brisk walking, cycling, jogging are best for the heart as it improves the heart's ability to pump oxygenated blood around the body. These need to be done for about 30 minutes at least 5 days a week.

Strength exercises that are body weighted or with low weights, with high repetitions are ideal for improving heart health.

Other factors such as diet, managing stress and other lifestyle choices also play a big role in keeping your heart fit and healthy 💪
