The hospital is open to all members of the community, irrespective of race or religion and promotes an Islamic ethos that promotes the rights and respect of patients. The hospital design incorporates concepts of Islamic architecture such as water features, screens, arches and domes. Screens will provide privacy and ventilation, serve as a dust filter and most of all use natural light to create reflective patterns. The hospital promotes an Islamic ethos that promotes the rights and respect of patients. Some of our operational elements that are incorporated include:

• Provision of Halaal food will ensure that Muslim patients have no doubt of cross contamination
•The use of patient attire that adequately covers the body
•The medical and surgical wards will be split into male and female only wards
•On site Ghusl Khana
•Preventative Medicine / Wellness

We are delighted to introduce our newest Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, joining AAK’s team of highly skilled doctors dedicated to delivering ethical, high-quality and patient-centred women’s healthcare.

With more than 20 years of experience, Dr Mashiloane brings expertise in high-risk obstetrics, level 2 fetal anatomical scanning through his special interest in materno-fetal medicine. He also has a special interest in benign gynaecological conditions, holistic and evidence-based clinical management.
