This 3D video shows what your uterus looks like from Day 1 to Day 8 of your cycle and why cramps can feel so intense.
Hereโs whatโs happening:
โข Day 1 starts when the uterine lining begins to shed.
โข The uterus contracts to push out the lining (this is what causes cramps).
โข These contractions are triggered by hormone-like chemicals called prostaglandins.
โข The stronger the contractions, the more pain you may feel.
Pain during periods is commonโฆ but excessive pain, heavy bleeding, or symptoms that disrupt your life are NOT something you should ignore.
Understanding your cycle is the first step to supporting your womb properly, physically, hormonally, and holistically.
Your womb is not your enemy. Itโs communicating with you.
