We will be launching our 3rd very successful shoulder clinic on Wednesday 7th February starting at 7:30am

This clinic is for anyone suffering from shoulder pain- it is a 6 week clinic which includes 3 physio sessions and 6 group biokinetics classes with a comprehensive home program and progress report ALL included.

The question I often get asked is “_Why Physio? _”. I chose to become a physio because I love working with people and most of all being able to assist them towards maximum health and function. I graduated in 2006 from WITS University and spent 2 years working in the public health sector. I developed a keen interest in sports physio and completed another year of studies in this field. Most of my career has been spent working in outpatient practises and in 2020 I started my own practise in Waterfall Midrand. I believe in treating my clients holistically and love empowering my clients to take ownership of their own health and wellness.
My other hat is that of wife and mom. I have been married for 17 years and we have a 7 year old son.
I love doing and instructing Pilates and finish off with this quote by Joseph Pilates “Change happens through movement and movement heals”

Our new Physio Lauren that has joined us at Core
I have a long history with her and she brings huge experience with her from Jbg. 🔥

Lauren Tate qualified as a physiotherapist from the University of Cape Town in 2007. She went on to further her postgraduate studies in Sports Physiotherapy, Exercise and Sports Science, Sports Psychology, Rehabilitation and Sports Nutrition. There was no doubt that sports was going to be the order of the day and she started out as a student in running, cycling and rugby. She then moved into her area of passion; football, where she plied her trade for 19 years. She has worked with various National First Division teams and Premier Soccer League teams, most recently Orlando Pirates Football Club. She has also worked for 1,5 years with the Woman’s National Soccer Team (Banyana Banyana) helping them qualify for the World Cup.
She is passionate about helping others and her experience has allowed her to tailor make rehabilitation for her athletes. She works in a niche area of sport specific position specific return to play.
Family is a priority and she loves making memories and enjoying time with them. She believes in living life to the fullest and loving every moment of it.
