One of my favorite ways to simplify meal planning is by creating a flexible weekly structure. It helps me stay organized, reduces decision fatigue, and ensures variety in our family meals. Here’s how I do it:

✨ Monday: Meatless 🌱

✨ Tuesday: Chicken/Fish 🐔🐟

✨ Wednesday: Beef/Pork 🥩🍖

✨ Thursday: Chicken/Fish 🐓🐠

Healthy eating can often seem overwhelming and it’s hard to know where to start, focusing on building balanced meals is an easy way to ensure your family is on the right track to a healthy lifestyle

“🍽️ Building balanced meals doesn’t have to be hard! Use this simple formula:

🥦 Half your plate = veggies

🍗 Quarter your plate = lean protein

🍚 Quarter your plate = whole grains

On the menu tonight for our family is Mediterranean chicken orzo with extra roasted veggies on the side.

Many recipes might contain vegetables in them like the one I am using tonight but often that’s not enough to make up half your plate so just remember you might need to add in more.

🌟 Sweeten the Deal: Get Kids Loving Salad! 🌟

My kids aren’t really big salad fans like me but I just offering them. One thing I have found that works is just add a little fruity magic!

Combining fresh fruit with greens is a great way to expose little ones to veggies in a fun, flavorful way. The sweetness of fruit balances the salad’s flavors and makes it super kid-friendly. Kids are more likely to try new foods if they know some of the other foods in the meal.

🍉 Try This: Baby spinach, juicy watermelon cubes, fresh mint, and a sprinkle of feta cheese for a refreshing summer treat!

🍑 Or This: Add sliced nectarines or mango to lettuce, cucumber, and a drizzle of light honey dressing.

🍏 Get Creative: Toss crisp apple slices with shredded carrots, tomatoes, and a lemon-yogurt dressing.

These combos are colorful, nutritious, and perfect for encouraging kids to explore new flavors and textures. Plus, they’re packed with vitamins, fibre, and fun!

Today I served a nectarine salad with some wraps and fresh crumbed fish for lunch and then on the menu with a deboned chicken for dinner is a quinoa and watermelon salad.

Sunday is the perfect day to prep for a smoother, stress-free week! Whether it’s school lunches, quick dinners, or healthy snacks, a little planning goes a long way. 🥗🍗🌮 Here are 10 time-saving meal prep tips that I often use to keep my family nourished and help keep weekdays a bit more fuss-free.

Today I am making two batches of cooked mince to use in the week and marinading some chicken fillets in a tikka sauce to use for lunches for the week. I love the Woolworths marinaded tikka chicken fillets so I am going to try recreate it at home using my own ingredients.

Only a few more weeks of school lunchboxes to go!!

This week I went all out with the planning and did a plan for dinners, adult lunches, kids lunches and after school lunchboxes.

I also need to get some weekend meal and snack planning going as my daughter is dancing at the playhouse for three days this weekend and we going to need make sure with stocked with meals and snacks for that .

Chocolate baked oats

I like to mix it up with my kids breakfast and I find they get bored of the same stuff over and over again so I tried out this chocolate oats for them.

I usually make it the night before and then reheat it for them or if I am up early enough I make it the morning of.
