Highfield House Assisted Living At Highfield House, personalised care is at the heart of everything we do. We are now open for enquiries and welcoming new residents.

We offer assisted and nurse-assisted living with 24-hour quality care, always focused on dignity, respect and comfort. Newly established, Highfield House has been transformed into what is sure to become one of Durban's finest wedding venues. Highfield House is perfectly situated which makes it easily accessible and within close proximity to Durban and surrounding suburbs. You have two wedding venue options to choose from at Highfield House. Firstly we have the option of an indoor venue which can comfortably seat up to 90 guests. The venue is draped all round and adorned with fairy lights to set the ambiance and mood for your wedding and which can be used for the duration of your function, if you so choose. Alternatively, we can offer you the option of an outdoor/garden wedding. There is a large paved area set against the beautiful gardens of Highfield House, which can also comfortably seat up to 90 guests. Our garden is also adorned with fairy lights that adds a magical touch to an outdoor/garden wedding. If you prefer however, you can choose instead to erect a marquee for your outdoor/garden wedding. On the following pages you will find all the information you need to turn your dream wedding into a reality. We are confident that you will find everything you are looking for to help you plan, organise and co-ordinate your perfect wedding. With the help of our venue co-ordinators, Gill and Hennie, we can give you expert advice as to the decor of the venue and tables. Highfield House is also for hire as a conference and banquetting venue as well as special occasion birthdays such as a 21st, 40th, 50th etc. We are able to and will gladly cater for every need and want required. Dear Friends and Valued Guests,

After much reflection and with a mixture of emotions, we at Highfield House have made the heartfelt decision to refocus our energy and attention solely on the Highfield House Retirement Village.

As a result, we will no longer be hosting weddings, socials and parties and events beyond this year. However, we are still accepting bookings for weddings, socials, and parties until the end of 2025.

We want to reassure you that Highfield House is not closing. Rather, we are shifting our focus to grow and enrich our retirement village, continuing our commitment to providing a warm, caring, and vibrant community for our residents, and you can book your spot now for January.

This decision was not made lightly. It has been a true privilege to be part of so many beautiful weddings and joyful celebrations over the years. The memories created here will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who has shared their special moments with us.

For those with existing bookings, please know that we will continue to honour every commitment. We are dedicated to making these final events as memorable and meaningful as all those that have come before.

To our incredible team, trusted partners, and the families who welcomed us into their most cherished days, thank you. Your support and trust have meant everything to us.

While this chapter is gently coming to a close, we carry it with us as we step forward with renewed purpose—fully dedicating ourselves to the continued care and growth of the Highfield House Retirement Village.
