DID YOU KNOW? 🤰🦴

Pregnancy-induced osteoporosis is a rare but real condition that can affect women during late pregnancy or shortly after giving birth. It can lead to sudden bone loss and even unexpected fractures — especially in the spine.

Hormonal changes, increased calcium needs, and genetics may contribute, but with early detection and the right medical care, most women recover well. 💪✨

Let’s raise awareness — strong moms deserve strong bones! 💛

🦴💡 IS IT OSTEOPOROSIS… OR SOMETHING ELSE? 💡🦴

Sometimes bone pain, deformities, or fractures might not be caused by osteoporosis — they could be due to Paget’s Disease of Bone.

This condition causes bones to turn over too fast, leading to excessive breakdown and abnormal rebuilding. The result? Bones that become enlarged, misshapen, and structurally weak.

Unlike osteoporosis, which leads to generalised bone loss, Paget’s Disease typically affects specific bones such as the:
👉 Pelvis
👉 Skull
👉 Spine
👉 Legs

It’s most common in older adults, just like osteoporosis — but understanding the difference is key to proper diagnosis and treatment. 🩻

If you’re experiencing unexplained bone pain or changes in bone shape, it’s worth asking your doctor:
💬 Is it osteoporosis… or something else?
