It's that time of the year when family celebrates love and togetherness.
For some it's a time that's dreaded as nothing in all of creation brings pain so close as when one misses a member of the family.
But let this year be one where memories are created and ceasing to mourn does not equate to disloyalty to loving the person missed. This time it's Covid that has wreaked havoc in the lives of families and there's not a day that goes by and one is not notified of multiple deaths. It's abnormal where love now is reframed by stating away from each other rather than drawing closer. Amidst the abnormality God blessed us with technology that brings us closer than we ever have been before and connection now means video face time.
Celebrate love and love and the joy of the coming of a savior who left heaven for us so that we can one day be with Him forever. Let's not allow the importance of this time be diluted by what we cannot have but celebrate what we have. Let's live in the presence and be present for each other. Merry Christmas everyone. God blesses you richly.
