With heavy hearts and deep respect, we gather to honor the life and legacy of Ms. Phumeza Mdyogolo (Sis Mimi)— a woman of grace, courage, and quiet strength. Her journey on this earth may have come to an end, but the light she brought into our lives will continue to shine.

Phumeza was known not only for her dedication to her family and community, but also for her integrity, kindness, and unwavering compassion. Whether through her work, her friendships, or her daily acts of love, she touched the hearts of all who knew her.

She had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Her wisdom guided many, her laughter uplifted spirits, and her resilience inspired everyone around her.

As we say farewell, we do so with gratitude — for the time we shared, the lessons she taught us, and the memories that will live on. Though words cannot fully express the depth of our loss, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy will endure in every life she touched.

Rest peacefully, Sis Mimi. You will forever be missed, always loved, and never forgotten.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men in South Africa and globally. According to the 2022 National Cancer Registry, 1 in 15 South African men face a lifetime risk of developing prostate cancer.

Often growing slowly and silently, prostate cancer may show no symptoms in early stages. When symptoms do appear, they can include:
🔹 Frequent urination (especially at night)
🔹 Difficulty starting or stopping urination
🔹 Weak or interrupted flow
🔹 Painful urination or ej*******on
🔹 Blood in urine or semen
🔹 Pain in lower back, hips, or thighs (advanced stages)

🎯 Risk factors:
Age, ethnicity, family history, obesity, and certain dietary habits.

✅ Lower your risk by eating a healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables, limiting red meat and high-fat dairy, and maintaining a healthy weight.

🧪 Early detection saves lives!
Get screened with a Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) test – a simple blood test that checks for raised PSA levels, which could indicate inflammation or cancer.

🩺 PSA tests are available at most CANSA Care Centres across South Africa as well as public health clinics.

Let’s break the silence. Talk about prostate cancer. Encourage the men in your life to get screened.
