SELF-CARE STARTS WITH YOUR MENTAL HEALTH πŸ§ πŸ’š

Mental health plays a crucial role in our overall well-being and quality of life. It helps us handle life’s everyday challenges, build healthy relationships, and contribute meaningfully to our families and communities. The way we think, feel, and act is deeply connected to our mental state β€” it shapes our choices, resilience, and even our physical health.

When mental health is neglected, it can lead to stress, emotional struggles, and sometimes even physical illnesses. But when we take care of our mental well-being, we create balance in our lives, perform better at work or school, strengthen our relationships, and feel more fulfilled.

Taking care of your mental health starts with small, intentional habits that protect your peace of mind and bring harmony to your daily life.

Here’s how you can care for yourself:
πŸ’š Pause and Breathe
πŸ’š Set Boundaries
πŸ’š Stay Active
πŸ’š Rest and Recharge
πŸ’š Do What You Love
πŸ’š Talk About It and Seek Help When Needed

Dr. Mbelwa currently runs his private practice at Royal Buffalo Specialist Hospital, where he provides comprehensive ophthalmic services to patients across the region.

On World Heart Day, we stand together to raise awareness about cardiovascular health, raising awareness about the importance of protecting our hearts. Heart disease remains the leading cause of death worldwide, but the good news is that it’s largely preventable through smart choices and early intervention.

Simple actions like eating a balanced diet, staying active, managing stress, and getting regular check-ups can go a long way in keeping our hearts strong.

πŸ’“ Recognize the signs
πŸ’“ Embrace a heart-healthy lifestyle
πŸ’“ Learn CPR β€” you could save a life

Every heartbeat counts. Let’s protect yours!
