Make 2014 your year
You are the master of your destiny and that includes your health and weight. Henry Ford said, “Whether you believe you can, or you can’t, you are right”. Do you believe you can get thin and stay thin? Take a minute and really think about your answer, because if you think you “can” THEN YOU WILL GET THIN AND STAY THIN and if you believe you “can’t”, YOU WILL PUT IT ALL BACK ON AND MORE. Oprah said “Each of us is responsible for recreating who we believe ourselves to be, and that responsibility is not a burden but a privilege” ask yourself are you ready to recreate your mind, emotions, spirit and body. Do you want peace, less stress and to look and feel good? Well you can do it and it’s not difficult all you need are the tools to make a life style change. It all starts in the mind, so start by saying nice things to yourself, like “Hi sweetie, you are great and I’m glad you are mine”. Then daily write down 2 good things about yourself (good mom - good at your job), focus on these instead of the negative .

To get the body you want you need goals, as you work towards your goals, ask yourself how I can make this fun, for instance if you need to exercise what you can do that you will enjoy. Most think they ”have” to join a gym which they hate and so they sign up and pay for 2 years and never go. What do you like to do is it dancing this is a wonderful way to exercise, or you can garden, or walk on the beach or in the forest. Or you can simple play with your children, and then as you get fitter you can stretch yourself by doing something more strenuous. Chunk things down by making them fun, this is the only way to cope and win. If you hate what you are doing it will never last.

How to find your balance: learning to understand what your body needs is the quickest way to balance your health. A healthy body can only come from healthy living. Scientists agree that if the body falls out of its delicate PH balance it becomes acidic, and so you start to become sick and overweight. The easiest way to become balanced is to shift your focus from weight control to getting healthy. Start by changing one thing a day, “drink a glass of water before you eat anything. Thirst is often mistaken for hunger” Drinking 2 litres of water a day will help you with health and weight loss, as it’s a appetite suppressant and it will help your liver metabolise fats.
