Sexual harassment in the workplace is not only physical misconduct.
It includes any unwanted behaviour of a sexual nature that makes someone feel uncomfortable, unsafe, humiliated, or pressured. This may include:
π Sexual jokes or comments
π Inappropriate messages or images
π Unwanted touching or physical contact
π Requests for sexual favours
π Suggestive remarks about someoneβs body or appearance
π Repeated unwanted attention
π Threats, intimidation, or promises linked to sexual advances
What matters is not the intention, but the impact.
If the behaviour is unwanted and creates a hostile or uncomfortable work environment, it may constitute sexual harassment.
Every employee has the right to dignity, safety, and respect at work.
Organisations have the responsibility to make sure those rights are protected.
