Intelligence and tracing teams activated to recover stolen vehicle.

This morning we received a call from a client in Brunafelcia Road that he had a break-in at his home during the night. When he woke up he realized the thieves had not only stolen items but also his vehicle.

After gathering intelligence, our tracing team was dispatched into the area where we thought the vehicle would be. Shortly after, our officers recovered and secured the vehicle.

The scene was taken over by the SAPS for further investigation and a case opened.

Business break-in suspects apprehended by tracing team.

This past weekend a business in the Woodbrook area came under heavy fire with multiple breakins. The individuals involved unfortunatly got away with stolen goods.

We couldn't leave this lying down and after gathering intelligence through our investigation, managed to pin point 3 men that were involved. We actioned our tactical tracing teams and with evidence in hand, apprehended all three suspects.

The suspects were handed over to the SAPS, where a case has been opened. This is an ongoing investigation and hopefully stolen property is recovered and other possible people involved are found.

Cable theft suspect apprehended by power couple.

Yesterday on the way to a family lunch, our regional manager and his fiancee came across a man that was busy digging out cable at a hotspot near the airport. They immedietly stopped and apprehended the man in the act.

In his possesion was tools being used in the crime, copper cable and a knife amongst other things.

The suspect was arrested and handed over to law enforcement where a case has been opened.

Today our K9 Team made it their mission to perform crime prevention patrols on our beaches from Gonubie to the Orient. One to prevent crime and two, to send a strong message to criminals for this festive period. It wasn't all work and no play, with our pawed officers having some fun and down time in between.

Abalone poacher falls short in joint operation efforts.

This week our Commander team was informed about information of poaching occurring in Gonubie.

Our team met up with the SAPS, Eco Scorpians and the department of fisheries before approaching where the alleged crime was occurring.

At the scene after gathering intelligence, a bakkie was spotted with 2 men running towards the vehicle. We gave chase and after seeing abalone being dumped and members catching up with the vehicle, one suspect was apprehended running away with stolen goods and equipment in hand.

The vehicle used was impounded, abalone and equipment used taken as evidence. One suspect arrested and a case has been opened with further investigations on-going.
