Thinking back to times like these when we could put our training into action, can't wait for the days when we can race again. One positive about COVID-19 is that it has slowed me down and increased my energy for running once again. Debunking the use of K tape in prevention of knee injuries. Interesting read for all my running patients

The Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) has rejected claims made in an article in US Runner’s World magazine that the use of kinesio tape can prevent injury such as knee cap pain, also known as patellofemoral pain or ‘runner’s knee’.

Wayne and I both ran the Comrades Marathon on the 9th June 2019 from Durban to Maritzburg. It was Wayne's fifth Comrades and my first. We would like to congratulate all our amazing patients and running friends who took part in this incredible event. We know it takes huge commitment to just get to the start line. It is an overwhelming, and at the same time awesome event to say you have been a part of. Rest well, you deserve the sleep ins and we will see you on the road again soon. We hope the rest of the team at Bedfordview Sports Medicine are lining up with us in 2020!
