We are utilising the new KUDUwave audiometer which enables us to perform compliant hearing tests without closing you in a box. Thus reducing the risk of cross contamination.
We feel this is the safest way to perform hearing tests during the Covid-19 pandemic.

HOW DO WE HEAR ?
Our process of hearing is very complicated but I will try to explain it as simply as possible.
OUTER EAR.
This is the part of our ear which is visible on the sides if our heads. It collects sounds and transmits it through the earcanal to the eardrum.
MIDDLE EAR.
It is made up of 3 tiny bones, which vibrate as a result of the in coming sound. This concentrates the sound energy into your inner ear.
INNER EAR .
Its a "snail" shaped organ, filled with fluid. This fluid is set into motion by the sound vibrations from the Middle Ear. This causes tiny hair cells to triger impulses which get sent to your brain.
THE BRAIN
This is where hearing really happens. On receiving these signals your brain processes and interprets the nerve impulses. From mechanical sound impulses, your brain creates your most individual reality - You Hear !
