Breathing is so natural we often forget how important breathing is. From the moment we are born we had to gasp for air to take our first breath to ensure we keep ourselves alive naturally. When meditating we are required to take deep breaths in and out to slow down the chaos in our mind and clear the fog in our heads.
Then we apply different breathing techniques and methods to relax, and we can do this with our without breathing.
Some techniques are more intense and rapid, depending on the technique used.
When a person is relaxed, they breathe through their nose in a slow, even and gentle way.
Deliberately copying a relaxed breathing pattern seems to calm the nervous system that controls the body’s involuntary functions.

Controlled breathing techniques can assist with:
lowering blood pressure and heart rate
reduces levels of stress hormones in the blood
reduces lactic acid build-up in muscle tissue
balances levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood
improves immune system functioning
increases physical energy
increases feelings of calm and wellbeing.

If you are as allergic to winter and the cold ❄️ 🥶 like I am, you would probably think 🤔 🤔 🤔 hell no, I am not getting into an ice bath.
Should you be thinking that, I am glad I am not alone. The thought of an ice bath or cold plunge used to petrify me!!!

Until I actual braved it and did it, here are some of the benefits of regular ice plunges.

The Benefits of Ice Plunges
Cold water immersion, or ice plunging, has gained popularity for its potential health benefits. The practice involves submerging all or part of your body in cold water for a short period of time.

Key Benefits:

Muscle Recovery and Reduced Inflammation: For athletes, ice plunges can help reduce exercise-induced muscle damage, inflammation, and soreness. The cold water causes blood vessels to constrict, which can help to reduce swelling.

Improved Mood and Mental Resilience: The shock of cold water causes the body to release adrenaline and noradrenaline, which can lead to a burst of energy and alertness. Over time, this controlled exposure to stress may help the body become more resilient and adaptive to everyday stressors. Some research also suggests a link between cold plunges and an increase in mood-boosting hormones like dopamine.

Activation of the Vagus Nerve: Cold water immersion activates the vagus nerve, which plays a crucial role in regulating the "rest and digest" response. This can help to restore balance to the nervous system and promote relaxation after the initial shock.

Metabolic Boost: Cold exposure may activate brown fat, a type of body fat that increases heat production through higher metabolic rates. While the caloric burn is relatively small, it contributes to overall metabolic health.

It's always good to live a
Wellness Lifestyle, if you aren't living a healthy lifestyle yet, you can start now.

A healthy lifestyle, which incorporates practices like guided meditation, breathwork, and ice plunges, can significantly contribute to overall well-being and longevity. Here's a breakdown of the importance and benefits of each element.

The Importance and Benefits of Guided Meditation and Breathwork
Guided meditation and breathwork are powerful tools for improving both mental and physical health. While meditation often involves observing your breath and thoughts, breathwork actively manipulates breathing patterns to achieve specific effects. Both practices share a common goal of fostering mindfulness and activating the body's "rest and digest" response (the parasympathetic nervous system) to counteract the effects of stress.

Key Benefits:

Stress and Anxiety Reduction: Both practices are highly effective at lowering stress hormones like cortisol. By intentionally slowing down your breathing and focusing on the present moment, you can calm an overstimulated nervous system and reduce feelings of anxiety and panic.

Improved Emotional Regulation and Mood: Meditation and breathwork can help you become more aware of your thought patterns and emotions.
This increased self-awareness can lead to a more positive outlook on life, a better self-image, and a greater ability to manage difficult feelings.

Enhanced Cognitive Function: Regular practice can strengthen your attention span and memory.
Some studies suggest that meditation can physically change the brain, increasing the density of brain tissue in areas that manage senses, thought, and emotion.

Better Sleep: By reducing stress and quieting a racing mind, these practices can prepare your body for rest and improve the quality of your sleep.

Physical Health Improvements: The physiological changes that occur during deep breathing and meditation can lead to a range of physical benefits, including:

Lowering blood pressure and heart rate.

Improved immune system function.

Reducing inflammation.

Relief for symptoms of conditions like asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Where do you rate your health?

As we get older our once strong healthy muscles that carried us everywhere weakens without sufficient exercise or weight training, naturally.
It's called atrophy (if you don't use it you will loss it )
Muscle is basically a storage of health, storage of amino acids for use anywhere necessary in the repair of any cells in the healthy body. Just as fat is a store of energy in the body. Fat increases as muscle decreases. We call it ageing, but we age quicker as our health decreases. Longevity, or qualiy of life is very dependent on muscle mass, skeletal muscle mass is a medical sign of health as taught in medical schools. Resistant training and protein intake is the only way to longevity.

Rise with the Earth, Breathe with Intention, Find Your Stillness.
Imagine waking with the gentle light, stepping onto the cool earth, and feeling an immediate calm.
This simple act of early morning grounding reconnects you to the planet's natural energy, subtly resetting your internal clock – your circadian rhythm.
When your circadian rhythm is in harmony, your sleep deepens, your energy flows steadily, and your body's systems work in concert. Now, add the power of breathwork. Conscious, deep breaths oxygenate your cells, calm your nervous system, and prepare your mind for stillness.
Follow your breath inward with meditation. Even a few minutes of quiet focus in the morning can reduce stress, sharpen your mind, and cultivate inner peace that resonates throughout your day.
This isn't just a morning routine; it's an investment in your longevity. By aligning with natural cycles, calming your mind and body, and fostering inner peace, you're laying the foundation for a healthier, more balanced, and ultimately longer life.
Embrace the dawn. Embrace yourself.
