This practice offers home visits in the Winelands areas of Franschhoek, Paarl, and Stellenbosch. Our Team of Specifically Trained Physiotherapists have all obtained advanced certification in the management and treatment of all orthopedic, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal pain conditions. Our motto is to “Treat the patient, not just the injury”. A Biopsychosocial Model is used. This means that we take a holistic approach to our patients. The biological, psychological & social state of health are taken into consideration

On your first visit, you will be interviewed, and a full history taken by one of the physiotherapists. A plan of care suitable to your needs and goals will be developed and discussed with you. Our physios will liaise with other practitioners or specialists to ensure comprehensive care.

MOVEMENT AND EXERCISE THERAPY

We aim to restore and enhance strength, health and wellness as part of our interventions and rehabilitation programs. Pre and postoperative education and rehabilitation.

Classes are offered for movement, strengthening, balance training, and flexibility with pain neuroscience education are offered with instruction by a physiotherapist in small groups.

Core pilates classes are also offered at the Franschhoek Physiotherapy practice. Individual and group classes are available.

Franschhoek Physiotherapy Associates are specifically trained with advanced skills and qualifications in multiple areas of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Rehabilitation and Pain Management. This includes advanced skills in Orthopeadic Manual and Manipulative Therapy, Sports Injuries including acute and chronic injury management and prevention, complex pain management, rehabilitation and pre-habilitation, including education, exercise therapy and conditioning.

Patient-centred care is our focus , At the first appointment, the physiotherapist will listen to your concerns and medical history and possibly a life story or two. A physical musculoskeletal assessment follows and a treatment plan and goals are determined. Education and treatment commence according to the plan and your individual needs.
