The organization was established in 2012 when the need for academic support was identified within the community of Tshamahansi. Number of learners have already benefitted from the organization in terms of study guides, extra books, video materials, study support, career guidance, etc. The organization is currently operating within the premises of the Healing Ministry Church (HMC) in Tshamahansi, M
osesani Section, Mokopane. Over the past two years this has grown to affect many lives of young people from within Tshamahansi and neighboring villages such as Msombana, Masodi, Ga Magongoa, Ga Matshikiri, Molekane, etc. So far the organization has successfully hosted number of events i.e. career exhibition/workshops with professionals from UNISA Student Counseling, SAQA, Khothedi Life Coaching, Capricorn FET College, and other Professionals. FDC aims to empower the lives of young people with information/knowledge so that they can have courage to pursue their dreams and find wisdom to overcome 'enemies' of Destiny. The following initiatives have been established to achieve our mission:
- Career guidance (workshops)
- Academic Support (Study groups, Additional lessons, Study Material, etc)
- Computer Skills Training
- Youth Talks- to address issues such as Substance abuse and Bad Addiction, Teenage Pregnancies,etc.
- Health Talks- to address issues around communicable diseases, i.e. STD's, HIV and Aids, Cancer, etc
- Talent Nurturing (i.e. we promote Arts and Culture- through activities such as Beading, Acting, etc.)
- Feeding Scheme (for Kids)
- Bible Study
