◇Chemotherapy is one of the ways we treat cancer, using specialised medicines to target and manage the disease.

◇These may include treatments like cytotoxic drugs, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, or hormone therapy.

◇Depending on the type of treatment, medication can be given in different ways – through a drip, an injection, under the skin, or in tablet form.

◇Our oncologists will guide you on the best treatment plan and how often it will be needed. Side effects vary depending on the treatment and type of cancer, and both your oncologist and chemo nurse will talk you through what to expect.

◇Before we begin, we always make sure you have all the information you need and give full consent with confidence.
