As we prepare for the festive season

A year ago
she called me
And asked about Jura Care.
She loved what she saw and heard.
Friends from Zimbabwe told her

And for a year we chatted
As she was closing her swimming school
And selling her house of 40 years.....

And a while ago she and Bella, her dog
made Jura their home...

Somewhere along the way
adjusting to her room
and new people

She found her peace
in this poem
she wrote.

I asked
And she said yes
I can share this with you
That she is still who she is
although she is entering
LA LA LAND
as she calls
dementia.

🌿🐃 Exciting Times at Jura Care Village! 🐾🌞

Our Managing Director, Marlene van Niekerk, spent some quality time today with the young Water Buffalos — ensuring they stay tame and comfortable around people. 🫶 This daily attention is all part of our long-term vision!

🏡 Jura Care Village is nestled on a 67-hectare coastal farm, now in the process of transforming from a sheep farm into a thriving game reserve.

🦓 Current residents include Zebras, Springbuck, Black Wildebeest, Bushbuck, Bontebok, and of course, our majestic Water Buffalos! 🌾

🚜 New game drive paths are being built to allow residents and their families to explore the wildlife safely in eco-friendly golf carts.

🌿 Jura Care Village Uitbreidings

Ons is trots om aan te kondig dat die nuwe Oos-vleuel met 10 kamers op 1 Oktober amptelik oopmaak. Dit bring ons totale kapasiteit op na 40 kamers, waarvan 35 enkelkamers is.

Verder het ons pas die dubbelverdieping kantoorblok met ’n Memory Clinic aan die westekant voltooi, wat vanaf 15 September in gebruik geneem word.

Ons kyk reeds vooruit:

2026 – Aanbou van die nuwe 36-kamer “Living Care” konsep sal begin.

2027 – Verdere uitbreidings word beplan.

Die 1 hektaar Village is pragtig geleë op ’n 67 hektaar kleinhoewe – ’n unieke omgewing waar sorg en natuur saamvloei.
