Be careful when applying sunscreen near your child’s eyes. The skin around the eyes is delicate and more prone to irritation. Opt for a kid-safe, mineral-based sunscreen made with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide — these ingredients sit on top of the skin rather than being absorbed, helping to protect without causing stinging or discomfort. Take your time when applying and remind children not to rub their eyes after sunscreen has been applied.
