Everything I have ever learned about counseling, trauma therapy and the so often unexpected that shakes our world can be read into this post.

Ernest Hemingway once said: In our darkest moments, we don’t need solutions or advice. What we yearn for is simply human connection—a quiet presence, a gentle touch. These small gestures are the anchors that hold us steady when life feels like too much.

Please don’t try to fix me. Don’t take on my pain or push away my shadows. Just sit beside me as I work through my own inner storms. Be the steady hand I can reach for as I find my way.

My pain is mine to carry, my battles mine to face. But your presence reminds me I’m not alone in this vast, sometimes frightening world. It’s a quiet reminder that I am worthy of love, even when I feel broken.

So, in those dark hours when I lose my way, will you just be here? Not as a rescuer, but as a companion. Hold my hand until the dawn arrives, helping me remember my strength.

Your silent support is the most precious gift you can give. It’s a love that helps me remember who I am, even when I forget.~

I am extremely grateful for everything but more than that EVERYONE who supported me to make the ISUZU IRONMAN 70.3 race possible 💚

Team Eden Protocol it's a pleasure to have trained with you this year and trust every cause you raise funds for will only see growth from strength to strength.

A few notable mentions. Jenina Conradie your encouragement and support meant to world to me. Francois Botha you keep us all together and have uplifted many of our spirits, thank you for all the trainings organized so well this year. Ann Strauss I really look up to you and how you create community opportunities. Chef Emile Nel you show such excellence in everything that you do and love how your family and kids have been a part of the training this year. 🌟 Ironman Preparation with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy & Recovery Support 🌟

This Sunday is race day for the ISUZU IRONMAN 70.3 Mossel Bay!!! I'm grateful for the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy session I received from Etienne Joubert at Garden Route Injury Treatment Centre(GRITC). It’s an incredible boost for endurance and recovery. Etienne will be volunteering on the route, supporting athletes alongside Jenina Conradie as I compete in the race. Their support has been invaluable and my heartfelt gratitude remains with them. 💚

We have been providing sports therapy, especially Jenina and I in the form of massage and lymphatic drainage before and after the race to enhance performance and boost recovery. Reach out to us for available bookings in Mossel bay Monday 18th or Tuesday 19th.

Our journey with the Eden Protocol Foundation continues as we prepare athletes physically and mentally. Through our collaboration with Ironman 4 the Kidz South Africa, we're on a mission to make a difference.
