When you are feeling overwhelmed. When stress and deadlines get you down. When no one seems to appreciate. Then along comes a Wattsapp message like this on a Sunday morning. Good morning my manager I have got good news my visa is out. This is only be God. Many thanks to you my mentor,my manager. May The Lord enlarge your territories. Looking forward to our fundraising seminar this coming Wednesday. We have a full house, an amazing panel of speakers and great team spirit amongst the staff and volunteers who are doing the catering. Immense gratitude to Norman and Michele from St Margaret’s Church for the venue and support, Debbie for the muffins and rusks, (thank you dear heart for never saying no to me)Bernadette for the cheese and watch this space I am going to twist Spar’s arm for the bread rolls and salad . My biggest appreciation goes to the team who identified Elandsvallei Home for the Aged as beneficiary of proceeds . How privileged are we to be amongst the cream of the crop. If you missed out this year…. Watch out for their next seminar.

Have you planned what you would like to do to commemorate Mandela Day on 18 July? Elandsvallei Home for the Aged needs your attention. Plant a rose, tender a flower planter, bake biscuits for 67 people, donate 67 tins /jars of food (sweetcorn, jam, peanut butter, butter beans, chickpeas, coffee, to give some idea) or spend 67 minutes with one of our elderly residents. Elandsvallei Home for the Aged a project of The South African Red Cross Society - Germiston Branch will be holding a morning market on Saturday 6 July 2024. We are appealing for items to sell. Appliances, furniture, household goods, ornaments, linen, clothing - in fact anything you no longer have use for, that is in a resellable condition. We can collect 0829228895 or 011 7769063
