Winter is a season of slowing down, restoring, and going inward — and I’m leaning into that fully, both personally and in my practice 🤍

This winter, my goals are:
• To support my patients in building true resilience — not just “getting through” winter, but feeling grounded, energised, and well
• To focus deeply on hormone balance, especially where stress, mood, and cycles are affected
• To strengthen immunity in a way that honours the body — gentle, effective, and long-lasting
• To create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported in your healing journey
• To continue learning, refining, and growing so I can serve you better

Winter isn’t just about avoiding illness — it’s an opportunity to reset, nourish, and rebuild from within 🌿

If you’ve been feeling run down, overwhelmed, or “not quite yourself,” this is the perfect time to start working with your body, not against it.

Here’s to a season of restoration, balance, and deeper healing ✨

🍂 Seasonal Shifts: What Happens in Your Body 🌿

As the seasons change, so does your body. You’re not meant to feel the same all year round—your physiology naturally adapts to the environment around you.

Here’s what you may notice during a change of season 👇

🌡️ Energy Fluctuations
As daylight and temperature shift, your circadian rhythm adjusts. You may feel more tired, need extra sleep, or have dips in motivation.
🤧 Immune System Changes
Seasonal transitions can temporarily lower immune resilience, making you more prone to colds, allergies, or skin flare-ups.
🍽️ Appetite & Cravings
Your body may crave warmer, more nourishing foods (especially moving into autumn/winter) or lighter meals in warmer months.
🌿 Mood Shifts
Changes in sunlight can influence serotonin and melatonin levels—affecting mood, focus, and emotional balance.
💧 Skin & Hydration
You might notice dryness, sensitivity, or flare-ups (like eczema) as humidity and temperature change.

💡 Why this matters:
These shifts are normal. Symptoms often arise when the body struggles to adapt smoothly to the new season.

✨ How to support your body:
▫️ Slow down and honour your energy levels
▫️ Adjust your diet with the season
▫️ Support your immune system proactively
▫️ Prioritise sleep and nervous system balance

🌙 Seasonal change is a time of recalibration—not resistance.

⚡️ Wired or Tired? 😴
Do you ever feel completely exhausted… but also unable to switch off?

This “wired but tired” state is more common than you think—and it’s often a sign your nervous system is out of balance.

🔍 What’s happening?
Your body is running on stress hormones, even when your energy reserves are depleted. So you feel:
▫️ Tired all day
▫️ Alert or restless at night
▫️ Anxious, overwhelmed, or irritable
▫️ Like you “can’t relax” even when you try

🌿 Why this happens:
Chronic stress, poor sleep, blood sugar dips, and hormonal imbalances can all keep your system stuck in a fight-or-flight loop.
Over time, this can leave you feeling burnt out—but still “switched on.”

💡 Signs your body needs support:
▫️ Afternoon crashes
▫️ Craving sugar or caffeine
▫️ Difficulty falling or staying asleep
▫️ Feeling more awake at night than during the day

✨ What helps:
▫️ Nervous system regulation (breathwork, grounding)
▫️ Consistent meals to stabilise blood sugar
▫️ Prioritising deep, restorative sleep
▫️ Gentle, supportive healing—rather than pushing through

🌙 You’re not just “tired”—your body is asking for balance.

📩 If this resonates, let’s support your system back to calm, steady energy.

🌙 Understanding Your Cycle: The 3 Phases of the Menstrual Cycle 🌿

Your cycle isn’t just about your period—it's a dynamic rhythm that influences your energy, mood, and physiology throughout the month.

Let’s break it down 👇

🔴 Menstrual Phase (Days 1–5)
This is when bleeding occurs. Hormones are at their lowest, and your body is shedding the uterine lining.
✨ Focus: Rest, nourish, slow down.
You may feel more inward, reflective, and need extra support.

🌱 Follicular Phase (Days 1–13)
Overlaps with your period at first, then energy begins to rise as estrogen increases.
✨ Focus: New beginnings, planning, creativity.
You may feel clearer, lighter, and more motivated.

🌸 Ovulatory Phase (Around Day 14)
Ovulation occurs—this is your peak fertility window. Estrogen is high, and you may feel your most confident and social.
✨ Focus: Connection, communication, visibility.
This is a great time for meetings, socialising, and expressing yourself.

🌾 Luteal Phase (Days 15–28)
Progesterone rises to support potential pregnancy. If not fertilised, hormones will gradually drop leading into your next period.
✨ Focus: Grounding, completion, boundaries.
You may feel more introspective, sensitive, or need more structure and calm.

💡 Why this matters:
When you align your lifestyle with your cycle, you work with your body—not against it. This can improve energy, mood, and hormonal balance.

🌿 Every woman’s cycle is unique—learning your rhythm is powerful.

Did you know your eyes can reflect patterns in your spine? 👁️

In iridology, the pupil is closely linked to the nervous system—and its shape can offer clues about structural alignment, especially along the spine.

🔍 Pupil Shape & Spinal Patterns
▫️ Round, Centered Pupil
Suggests balanced nerve supply and good structural alignment. The body is communicating efficiently.

▫️ Flattened (Top or Bottom)
May indicate tension or compression along the spine—often seen in the cervical (neck) or lumbar (lower back) regions.

▫️ Flattened Sides (Left or Right)
Can reflect lateral spinal imbalance, such as scoliosis tendencies or uneven muscle tension pulling on the spine.

▫️ Oval or Distorted Pupil
Often linked to chronic postural stress patterns—where the spine has adapted over time to misalignment or strain.

▫️ Off-Centre Pupil
May suggest a shift in structural alignment affecting nerve flow and coordination throughout the body.

💡 Why this matters:
The spine houses and protects the nervous system. When alignment is off, it can influence everything—from muscle tension to organ function.

Your eyes can reveal how your body is compensating before symptoms fully develop.

🌿 Iridology helps us see these patterns early, allowing for a more targeted, holistic approach to restoring balance.

📩 Curious about your structural patterns? Let’s take a closer look.

Why Your Symptoms Are Not the Problem

Many people come to me wanting to get rid of a symptom — the headaches, the skin flare-ups, the anxiety, the painful periods, the fatigue.

But in natural medicine we ask a different question:

Why is your body producing that symptom in the first place?

Your body is always trying to communicate.

Symptoms are signals that something deeper needs attention. For example:
• Skin issues may reflect detoxification or gut imbalance
• Hormonal symptoms may reflect stress, nutrient depletion or liver overload
• Digestive discomfort may indicate microbiome imbalance
• Chronic fatigue may signal adrenal or metabolic strain

Suppressing symptoms can sometimes quiet the signal, but it doesn't always resolve the underlying imbalance.

Through homeopathy, iridology and functional support, the goal is to understand your body's patterns and support it back to balance.

When the body is supported properly, symptoms often improve naturally because the root cause is being addressed.

Your body is not working against you — it's communicating with you.

Growth in life rarely feels easy.

Sometimes it looks like outgrowing situations that once felt normal.

Sometimes it means learning to set boundaries where you once stayed silent.

Sometimes it’s choosing change even when it feels uncertain.

Growth often begins the moment you realise you want something different — more peace, more health, more balance, more purpose.

It doesn’t happen all at once.

It happens through small decisions, new perspectives, and the willingness to keep moving forward.

Be patient with yourself.

Real growth takes time.

But every step forward is still progress.

Myth: If your blood tests are normal, everything is fine.

Fact: Many people still experience fatigue, hormonal symptoms, digestive issues or anxiety even when standard tests appear normal.

Health exists on a spectrum. Imbalances can develop long before disease is diagnosed.

Looking at the body holistically — lifestyle, nutrition, stress levels and individual constitution — can often reveal important clues.

Listening to your body’s early signals is one of the best ways to protect long-term health.

3 Big Signs of Iron Deficiency in Children 🩸

Iron deficiency in children is more common than many parents realise — and it doesn’t always show up dramatically at first.

Here are the 3 big symptoms to look out for:

✨ 1. Persistent Fatigue
Your child seems unusually tired, low in energy, wants to lie down often, or struggles to keep up with peers.

✨ 2. Pale Skin & Dark Circles
Pale lips, gums, or inner eyelids can be a subtle clue. Some children also develop noticeable dark circles under the eyes.

✨ 3. Poor Concentration & Irritability
Iron is essential for oxygen delivery to the brain. Low levels can show up as difficulty focusing, mood changes, or being easily frustrated.

Other signs can include:
• Frequent headaches
• Dizziness
• Cold hands and feet
• Craving ice or non-food items, like soil (pica)

Iron plays a vital role in growth, immunity, and cognitive development. If you suspect deficiency, proper testing (like haemoglobin and ferritin levels) is important before supplementing.

Low iron isn’t a character flaw or “laziness.”
It’s a physiological need that deserves attention.

What is a Lacuna in the Iris? 👁️

A lacuna in the iris is a small opening or petal-like gap in the iris fibers. In Iridology, it’s not “damage” — it’s a structural sign that tells a story about inherited tissue tendencies.

Think of the iris like woven fabric. A lacuna is where the weave opens slightly — showing an area that may have lower tissue integrity or vitality in the corresponding organ reflex zone.

✨ What it can indicate:
• Genetic predisposition
• Weaker connective tissue in that area
• A tendency toward stagnation or lowered tone
• Where stress may manifest first

Not all lacunas are the same.

Their shape, depth, color, and location all matter. A closed lacuna carries a different meaning to a wide-open one. Context is everything — nervous system tone, constitution, and lifestyle all influence interpretation.

In practice, we don’t look at a lacuna in isolation. We assess the whole iris pattern, because the body always communicates in patterns — not single signs.

Your eyes don’t just help you see the world.
They reflect how your body responds to it.
